I have always been a huge fan of the long lanky and fast DEs like Dion Jordan. I wouldn't mind even getting Clowny size but I believe once you get 280+, you start slowing down and losing agility

Depends on what the staff wants. Do they want a 260lb guy like Dion Jordan or a 290lb guy like Mario Williams...

In his interview he said Garner told him he would play some at both DE and DT. Not sure a 260 DE will do well at DT. My guess is a 275-285 range. Just speculation based on the little bit of info out there.

How is the DT recruiting looking E? We need to bring a few guys in this class but it seems all our top guys are looking elsewhere

I don't know why but I just feel good about us landing Andrew Williams. That would be a solid DE haul with Williams/Kennion/Thornton

I would not count Auburn out with Andrew Williams yet. Even though he said he was seriously looking at 6 without naming Auburn to Ga. Tech Rivals, he told AUC he will visit Auburn for the 3rd time in a little under 2 months this Friday or Saturday.

Have a long way to go on DT. We are not squarely leading for any of our top targets.

Man, no worries, I know. And anyway I was joking in my reply. You favor 247, no? That's what I was joking about, crapping on Rivals.

This is one reason I'd like us to take DSawyer. If he's around 250, I was hoping he could shift inside, gain weight and strength, and turn out. He's an effort player and his speed would be pretty dang good inside.

Not worried about DT. I still see it as a position to find late bloomers. Unlike skill positions where you can see kids ball at a young age, DT requires a lot of raw strength and size that recruits may not have till their senior season since most 16-17 year olds are still growing.

2014 Auburn Football Recruiting Thread "Spoke with a source close to Auburn commitment Tre' Williams, who was in Tuscaloosa for several days this week. Williams would rather not publicly comment on the visit at this time, at the risk of having his words taken out of context, but the source reiterated that the top 100 LB is solid with the Tigers. He plans on being in Auburn this weekend.Just wanted to pass along this quick update. We should probably hear more from Williams after he visits Auburn" from BOL

I can never be comfortable reading these kinds of comments.

considering that Holland was a beast at a big school and had like 170 tackles as a senior, his 4 star rating isn't out of the realm of possibility.

I guess. But he played schools like Thompson. That is my Alma mater. They have sucked for a really long time.

CB came on as one of the worst AU posters. Now, he's evolved to be one of our more entertaining members, thanks to Zoloft.

I like reading things for myself. That is why I ask when someone does not post a source. It's also why I post a link or say per so and so when I post info. I found the article. It was Ga. Tech Rivals. I had to do a twitter search to find it.

I'm sorry guys. he was born this way. Just got him to start wearing his helmet, now if he'd just stop licking the windows.

Hey, E's bus was SOOO short...
