Hey dipshit, put Heath or Pelphrey back in charge and we have 2-3 losses at this point.
At least Mike truly cares and wants to see this program succeed.

idk if Mike is taking us to the ship or not. but hes got us better than we've been in a long time consistently.

We could have had bill self after Nolan was fired for his racist rant...
But we had to hire another African American because of Franks racist ways....
So we hire heath, then we hired the red headed bastard child from KY,
and now we are back to a Nolan Protégé During the time that hand checks, and petty fouls are constantly called, and pushing round pegs into round holes.. Forcing players in the past few years into a style rather than adapting the style for the players.
And, we have had long enough to do something besides a 1st round exit.. .by now.
Just adding to the conversation....

Haven’t paid real close attn, has the top half of the league had some bad losses?
It has more to do with missing good chances to have good wins. As of a few days ago, our Indiana win was probably the best win for the league.

That's fine, but let me ask you this. You can get rid of Mike tomorrow who are you taking that will come?
What we have now is a guy that seems to keep putting competitive teams on the floor, and we know 100% cares and understands what this program is about.

It was a great win, no doubt. But these home games....we're gonna win almost all of those. The question is whether we can we win on the road.

That is the question every non elite top 10 team has.

Yeah I saw LSU lose in OT to ranked FSU, Auburn played Duke close, UK got destroyed by Duke early and doesn’t have a major win, UT lost in OT to KS but that’s about all I recall.

Very top heavy. Rest of the league is pretty terrible.
A&M is 2-4 with losses to Minnesota/Washington/UC Irvine/Gonzaga and no even half decent wins
Mizzou is 3-3 with losses to Iowa State/KSU/Temple and no decent wins
USC is 4-3 with losses to Wofford/Stony Brook/Providence and no half decent wins
UGA is 4-3 with losses to Temple/Clemson/Georgia State and no half decent wins
UF is 4-3 with losses to FSU/OU/Butler and a decent win over Stanford
Ole Miss is 5-2 with losses to Butler and Cincy
Bama is 5-2 with losses to Northeastern and UCF
Vandy is 5-2 with losses to Kent State and NC State
That is a whole lot of meh to bad.

So we're top 10, just not elite? I'll take it

I should have also said NON top 10 team.
Not at all what I was implying. I was simply saying that every single coach in the NCAA worries about how his team is going to play on the road unless he has a team full of seniors and already knows the answer to this question.

Patience is our friend here.
Its his 9th year and we are just hoping to get into the tournament
This is the same coach that gave Ethan Henderson a scholarship

I'm all for giving credit where credit is due. I haven't seen em play hardly at all this year, but I have liked the improved defense most of all.
Love Joe, though. Dude is built to play in today's NBA if/when he gets stronger. Pure shooter.
Also...Where is the Mike Anderson haters?

Hasn't Mike won more road games in the SEC than anyone besides Calipari since he became our coach.
That narrative should die.
Really like this team, def. have a shot at an NCAA bid if they can steal a big game at home from one of the top teams and take care of the other garbage in the SEC.
Really needed that Texas win but we'll be alright. Have to beat Texas Tech.

Hey with Mike we all know it just takes a little time. We are slowly but surely getting there.

It's square peg, and for the past six years, Arkansas is third in the SEC in wins behind Kentucky and Florida. People like you make it sound like Mike is some huge loser.

We have. Do you even follow basketball at all?

Just look at Missouri since he left them, because you know, he's such a horrible coach.
Basketball isn't a sport where the non-blue bloods can go and snag whoever they want from other P5 or "lesser" programs, this is largely because of the tournament, other factors include some of the "lesser" name programs actually put basketball as a top priority (Big East Schools, WCC, MVC, etc).
Arkansas basketball has never been able to recruit like a blue blood. After Nolan won the NC the recruiting went to a blue blood level when a NCAA investigation, not sanctions and a penalties just an investigation, crippled recruiting that took years to reestablished. At the time the recruiting was getting back to NC contender level, the basketball program is hit with sanctions because Ford/Nutt had players being paid and a track guy rode in a car.
The other factor in today's game compared to then is Nolan had Mayberry and Day, two guys who had long respectable NBA careers, for 4 years and Corliss for 3 years. In today's climate he would have been lucky to have any of the 3 for 2 years. So not only has Arkansas struggled to gather up this level of talent, it is now being asked to do so at a more frequent level.
But I'm all ears on this HC who is better than Mike who is ready to come here and take the program to a higher NCAA tourney level of success, since there isn't much room to improve upon in conference results from where Mike has the program.

I think the guard combo they have on the floor right now between Isaiah Joe and Mason Jones is the best one two punch we have had at guard since Lee Mayberry and Todd Day.
If Jalen Harris continues to dish out dimes like he has been, Arkansas is gonna have one of the best back courts in the entire country this year. And THE BEST big man in the nation.
This team has all the pieces to make a tournament run this year. Depends, as always, on how the brackets line up as to how deep you go in the tournament.
Just once I would like to not draw a blue blood type program in round 2.
ETA: However, if we do end up with a poor second round draw, I'll be more confident in this bunch to be able to pull out a win.
