What’s the point of Mike?

I mean, we’re pretty good, maybe make the tournament every other year or two but then lose in the second round to a superior team. Never seriously contend for the SEC or make deep tournament runs. What’s the fricking point anymore? It’s just going to be like this until he leaves. I guess it’s fine?

Its textbook definition of insanity. Nothing will change until the change is made.

I am honestly content with consistently making the NCAA tournament and losing in the second round on average. When's the last time we've seen that level of consistency?

But even still he’s only done that twice in 7 years. Is it unrealistic to expect at least a sweet sixteen in that span?

No, its not a unrealistic goal. Programs with inferior talent and coaching make it happen.

He can't even do that. Look at our schedule and show me how we make the tourney this year without winning the SEC tournament. We should be winless in conference as is. Kentucky and ATM are going to skull frick us at the Bud and we will not win a road game.

Everybody wanted Nolan part 2 but Mike isn’t him.
Take Barford for example, Nolan would have had next Man up the first time he pulled his crap, and chewed him out as he walked to his seat, but Nolan could do that because kids knew Nolan would fight for them. He had no problem getting in a refs rear when we were getting screwed. Kids saw that and played smarter and harder.
Mikes lazy and his team plays like it.

We were once a BB powerhouse. Why did we ever settle for anything else? How long would Kentucky keep a coach for underperforming? We shouldn't have ever settled for anything less than what we were used to for 20 + years.

But Mike has all these accolades and has been around.
Remind you of anyone on our football staff?

Yep. We need to turn up the heat on the administration and let them know we're done settling for mediocrity. Fans pay this. It's up to the administration to give us a winner.

I guess my post was misphrased. What I meant to say is that I'm happy if we make the tournament consistently and get out in the first or second round.
That being said, while I like Mike Anderson, I'm disappointed that we haven't even reached that level yet.

It's just laughable.
We're fricking Ole Miss in this conference these days in all sports.
We'll frick up baseball somehow too.

Nah he know it. Well finish 8-8 or 9-7 in conference and just squeak in.
Only to lose 1st or second round by a better coaches, more disciplined team.
Wash, rinse and repeat in 2-3 years when Mike gets his next in state 5 Star handed to him.

Yep. They’ll tease the fans with a few stretches of hope yet be mediocre to above average, beg fans for support like this year but continue to lose to teams they shouldn’t, create huge deficits to dig out of and get out coached consistently because playing fast doesn’t mean perimeter defense, doubling, switching the big onto the opponents guard every trip, shooting or featuring the best player each possession and when out athleteing doesn’t work he has no other strategy.
