Macon ran his mouth all pre season and hasn't backed it up.

Eh. It taught me not to share info with this board. I didn't see too many "hacks". I saw a lot of people reporting what their folks were hoping would happen. It's like a political election. Several different groups are each working behind the scenes to get their guy installed and only one guy gets the job.
Funny thing is though that it's the group who wanted Venables that got Morris. People claiming I'm a hack are still just pissed off that their guy didn't get the gig.
At the end of the day it was never going to be Gus Malzahn. But people can't imagine how that would be so, because by God, one time they went and had cocktails at Ronnie Floyd's house. And man you oughta see how nice his place is! He has a helicopter pad at his house!! Surely he will get his way.

I think part of it is a combination of changing roles from the hunter to the hunted and playing with a chip on your shoulder.
At the end of last year and even the beginning of this year, I would have said our backcourt might not be the best in the country, but they could play with anyone. They haven’t really backed that up. Barford can score but he’s not making his teammates better. Macon kind of oscillates between wanting to be a really good distributor and a scorer and sometimes struggles to do either.
Macon has the stronger killer instinct of the two, but it hasn’t shown up as much this season as it did last season.
