Amazing what vetting and hiring an innovative mind will do for a program.

I remember when we hired one of the most innovative minds in college football by the name of Chad Morris.

Look, I just think we have so many obstacles to overcome we are going to have to just gamble like crazy on an innovative coach and STICK WITH HIM through the growing pains.

I've all but given up on football for a while. It will take a gamble on the next coaching hire for us to do anything relevant. I'll just try to enjoy baseball and basketball as much as I can.

They also make good hires.

Something we never do because we’re a dumber, more delusional, broke arse version of Texas without any real success.

The last 4 coaches at Washington have been Sark, Chris Peterson, Jimmy Lake and DeBoer.

After only 1.5 years of shitting the bed with Lake, the school found a way to get out of his buyout by firing him with cause, and then they went an hired DeBoer, who has lost a total to 2 games since he's been there and is playing in the title game next week.

Washington admin clearly knows how to hire and fire FB coaches. Arkansas clearly does not.

Does DeBoer love the helmet and does he really want to be there

You conveniently left out the vetting part.

From what I understand, they decided to fire him without cause and paid his buyout. But the overall point still stands.

True, but you can blame Julie Cromers-People-Whatsername however much you want but she didn’t make that hire alone. The PTB allowed it.

From what I have heard she wanted Lane Kiffin. They wanted Chad. This was band of boosters that had just nuked the Arkansas AD from orbit. They were riding high.

So they thought they were going to bring Gus back home to right the ship... and he played them for a big contract extension. They panicked and went with Chad Morris instead. The good news is that after that disastrous hire it will probably be another generation before something like that happens again.

Just think how good life would be if we’d hired lane instead of chad right after bert.

Just think how bad life would be if we'd hired lane in stead of? Dude, we honestly do not know. Here and OM are two very different schools, two different situations, two things do not necessarily correlate completely.

We play "what if" too much.

I don’t think Kiff would mesh well with the PTB. He’d tell them where to stick it, and they don’t like being told that (even though that’s exactly what they need to be told)

We should reminisce on the success of our football program instead.

When our administration and boosters continue to be the monkey fricking the football, it leads to playing the "what if" game and questioning what could've been done to stop us from being the joke of the SEC.

I remember 1974 when we beat the eventual champions USC 22-7 . We turned around and promptly lost to okie state and amassed an impressive 6-4-1 record.

It takes awhile I guess to understand what being a Razorback fan can put us through. Ups and downs, good and bad. Snake bit all the time.

When I watch Razorback games in any sport where we have a lead I think just wait for it, wait for it, wait for……and there it is…..sorrow…

But when it works out good that wipes out all the bad. I guess that’s what sports are about……

That’s your bedtime story, Good night..

He would never get hired at any of the current schools that made the playoffs.
