Bump to announce on Friday. I expect him to go get paid too.
Sam will have some work to do in the portal.

Everything has been pointing to him leaving but I think Pool comes back.

He is a late second day draft pick. Another year could help or he might go because his draft status won't get any higher.

So the consensus that I am picking up is that with the NIL now in full swing, if players are good they will leave for more lucrative deals. And if they arent playing enough, then they will enter the portal. And if they are playing enough, but arent making enough (or any other number of reasons), they will enter the portal.
College football is about to be a free agency bidding war with no market cap, with the highest bidders winning.

I think that got started from people misconstruing his IG post the other day.

It appears that none of the DBs had any kind of NIL deals, plus it seems they all hate their position coach... So you've got a perfect recipe for starters leaving.
Pittman and Hunter better start pounding the boosters for NIL $$ because he's about to see his entire roster get plucked to no end.
Love Sam, but he totally missed the boat on this one and has been caught flat-footed now. He never even brought up NIL before and now it's possibly going to kill his team's momentum. Adapt or die. And it's clear Arkansas has adapted like dogshit so far...

He isn't transferring from a sure starting position next year for an SEC school. If he is then he isn't very smart.

Flat-footed as in the aforementioned rumor about the DB coach or the NIL?

The NIL. Danny has tried to dance around it because I’m sure it wouldn’t go over well with the staff but he’s basically said without saying that we’re getting our asses kicked in that space by the rest of the SEC.

Good lord y’all are worked up over an average player that never sniffed all conference. Arkansas has not lost a single player that would be worth a good NIL deal

It's what they do here man, especially a certain few posters.
Nevermind the numerous transfers we have coming IN and those we got last year, just ignore those. Arkansas is doing everything wrong and the coaches should probably all be fired if they don't adapt to "modern" college football (which in their minds equates to no players ever leaving unless they've been basically kicked off for not being good enough. Then they can leave just fine)
We'll be fine, we haven't lost anyone worth a shite yet. If you look at other teams, even the Bamas of the world are losing players to the portal. It's the latest 'thing' and it'll die down just like everything else new.

Not surprising Chesh.
I know for a fact what two sponsors are paying and it isn't squat.

I think our NIL game will be best suited to basketball and baseball.
But football meh. We'll get a few sure but the big main guys that are getting big time money we won't pay what A&M or Bama or Texas are.
And should we? As if a couple of transfers would make us Bama anyways.
Spend it on basketball and baseball where we can win a title.
