But NFL ready QBs should be able to pass for more than 90 yards on that crappy PSU defense. I never thought this would be a controversial point of view. I'm not saying he won't declare, but I don't think NFL teams will be beating down the door like has been suggested
All this crap has fans overly obsessed with who will be leaving and who is coming in, etc. All I care about is the players on the Hogs roster. Once they leave, best of luck to them but they take a distant back seat to the players on the roster. Players are free to think fans will care about their name image and likeness more than the Razorback logo, but they're wrong. That's why this shite is not as relevant as ESPN makes it out to be. Let's be realistic about the roster instead of chicken little

Penn State has better WR depth than Arkansas. Losing Burks is like losing 3-4 Penn State players. That is how big of a loss it was. It changes how the staff prepped for this game.
Arkansas tried to pass early on but Timid Thompson didn't fight for the ball that clearly was thrown at him which led to an easy interception. He also had a first down on one possession but went backwards and lost yards.
At half it was clear that the only way they could win the game was to rely on the legs of Jefferson and that opened up the running game. Jefferson had no one else to throw to during the year besides Burks and that wasn't going to change in the bowl. Only hope remained but it wasn't going to change the facts.

Smells like some recruiting frickery a la OU with Mike Woods (and Burks).
The best case scenario is that there was a discussion with the staff wherein he was asked to declare or portal to make numbers work, but I’m jaded as hell and thus always under the assumption that we’re getting screwed in these situations.
Not exactly common to see a captain and 4 year letterman portal.

I mean he was solid and you’d think we would take him back if he wanted to come back but similar to woods I don’t see him being a big contributor at any major school that had a better season than we did

Some guy on 247 is saying that Brooks is leaving too and it’s directly tied to not wanting to play for their position coach (Carter). Very odd, if true, because he’s a guy that recruits rave about.

Alright this is kind of starting to suck then. The secondary was supposed to be a strength next year

Maybe Pittman can reason with them the way he did St. John. On the bright side looks like we won’t have any issues clearing spots for transfers

Carter got into it earlier in the season with a couple of other coaches and it started a rift between several players as well.
If you watched the bowl game, there was a point when Carter was basically ignored in his coaching a couple of players.. it seems.
And now this... But, I still think LSU has paid these kids to "Come one over"...
