Apparently even AFTER everyone has been tested and separated from the general public in the hotel/complex, they still can barely be in the same room as each other outside of practice time.

The internet is also having major issues at the hotel and is affecting game prep. They are basically in a semi prison from the sound of it.

Isn't the whole idea of a bubble so that everyone can mingle freely and go wherever they want on tbe grounds because everyone has been screened??

Per 247:

quote:

Musselman only packed one bag, and one of the managers has already lost some of his clothes.

Muss used his sink and used shampoo to wash his workout clothes.

If he's not up to his twitter game, it's because the internet is really slow.

quote:

They go to their room, they practice for an hour and a half and go back to their room. Then they meet in the meeting room and then are asked to leave. They are used to being together as a staff a lot more, like an hour before the meeting and after. They have to go to their rooms after the meeting so they aren't together. The preparation has been difficult, especially with the internet situation in terms of downloading film and things like that.

It's the NCAA. It was foolish to expect anything but a shite show. They have 100s of millions riding on this after getting nothing last year so I'm sure they are being little tyrants about everything.

The bubble idea is stupid period. Didn't work for the NBA and it won't work here.

But why? I am not sure why they couldnt get teams in town from Wednesday on. Them going directly from Nashville to Indy without going back to Fayetteville seems crazy. NCAA is such a teribly run organization.

I’ve wondered how all of this will affect the over all quality of the tournament. After a week of this some may say frick this I’m out. And how many guys are on edge as heck because they haven’t had a blunt in a week.

You know they can’t get no smoke in a bubble.

No troll but I missed this if it was true. I thought the NBA playoffs went pretty flawlessly last year. However keeping the noses clean of 64 teams + staff sounds like a nightmare scenario. I just don't want to see the tournament crumble, would be tragic.

How did it not work for the NBA? Once it was set up that season went on fine

He is paid millions every year. He doesn't need to wear the same shirt twice. I'm counting this under the "not a real problem" category

They had people coming in and out of the bubble routinely. It was a bubble in name only. Players were bringing in chicks from the outside on the regular.

Not to mention the PR disaster of the players complaining about their food all over social media. It definitely wasn't flawless. Players hated it.

... And the NBA players were staying in up scale Disney accommodations and were able to go out into some parts of the park area and they still went stir crazy.

These kids are probably staying in a Sheraton somewhere, 2 to a room, and could be locked in there for a month.

This is going to be a disater.

Such a gross overreaction to the china virus. Then again, the NCAA never just reacts, they overreact. Deadening the bats in baseball, targeting penalties, etc.

Common sense and logic is grossly missing from every facet of life, unfortunately.

Tuscaloosa super spreader event
Tampa super spreader event
Mississippi and Texas mass spreading since reopening

I mean wait that never materialized

I get the quarantining and protecting people but making it like a prison is going to make for guys who say frick this get me back home.

This happened like once or twice and they were caught immediately.

This only happened in the beginning during the players’ quarantine period when they couldn’t leave their rooms. After that they had Disney’s best chefs making them whatever they wanted because the Disney Parks/hotels were closed and they had nobody else to cook for.

Idk if the NCAA bubble will work, but don’t make up shite because the NBA bubble worked pretty fricking well.

So you're telling me the same frickwads who thought it was a good idea to schedule the XC National Championship TWO frickING DAYS after the Indoor Track and Field National Championships are making a complete cluster of March Madness???? I'm not surprised one bit. They don't give a shite about the student athletes and they never will.
