Good for Mike.He may have found a niche up there with playground players.

That's not a diss on on him,but he may have kids who fit his system better and can make noise up there.

I'm glad for him.

Impressive win on the west coast for Mike tonight. They almost screwed the pooch but AZ couldn’t close the deal.

Typical Mike, lose two you should've won and then sneak up on Az.

They have two games against Butler and two against Villanova, four more losses.

Good Luck Mike, rather have Muss.

To be fair, he is in his first season at St. John's. He's already beaten two ranked teams this year.

He is going to build a strong program up there. In fact, I'd wager that his St. John's team will end up being his best team yet. He has access to a lot of talent up there.

Isn't his weakest attribute, his ability to recruit?

Loyalty, to his players and his staff.

He was fired here for simply not advancing far enough in the tourney.

He elevated Arkansas recruiting from Heath and Pel, muss is taking it to the next level really selling the NBA factory aspect of his program similar to Cal, Self, Kryzchskebdisji, and Williams.

Yes. And that's why he's better suited to be recruiting at a place like St. Johns. It isn't as difficult when your talent pool is like 7,000,000 people in your immediate area.

Jeez dude, you can take it easy.

Muss hasn’t won shite here and for all intents and purposes, the offense has been pretty shitty and dependent on Jones playing out of his mind.

If he can manage beating IU, I’ll really start to allow my cock clock to move towards midnight but let’s chill out. His team shite the bed in a very winnable WKU game.

No reason to incessantly dog Mike who got our program out of the piss gutter.

Bottom line Mike wasn't recruiting. No our current offense isn't as good as Mikes. But we aren't giving up layups and wide open threes. Wide open offense, gambling defense is fun to watch. But its not going to win you a title in modern basketball. You aren't getting into anyone's legs with all the t.v. timeouts.

I'm sure Mike will do well there since he won't have to recruit as hard to get enough players to run his "system" but Arkansas is a better job than the mediocrity he brought here. And I don't care if it offends your sensitive side or gives you the vapors. I swear some of you act like fricking little girls.

Muss is recruiting future NBA guys. And not just one every once in a while. He is going to load this team up with talent. And we are really going to pick people up as they get off the bus and not just give it lip service. The offense will take time. Muss is teaching NBA sets. And not that playground bullshite.

I'm sure Mike is a nice guy and I'm glad he made SOME improvements to the program. But I don't watch the team bc the coach is a nice fricking guy. Or even bc he's all Hog, whatever the frick that means. He was paid, right?

I hope the guy continues to do well with his playground offense and zero defense scheme. And if we ever play I hope Muss spanks his arse.

Mike did recruit the current team essentially, a team most fans are very happy with currently.

Yeah he did. And we have no center. He also failed to recruit replacements when Portis and Quals left the team. He was a LAZY recruiter.

If that gives you the vapors. Good.

Yes and Muss is on record as wanting a free flow uptempo offense and not rely on sets, but this roster produces more out of a structured set than running an offense using motion, dribble drive, and flex concepts.

The only major difference between Mike and Muss is their defensive philosophy full court press with a mix of man, matchup, and zones in the half court bs Miss's man half court only.

Offensively both are guard oriented with an emphasis bon the 3 on offense, both are looking for athletic forwards not back to the basket centers. Both are benefiting from recruiting local talent.

In other words, if Muss was at Arkansas and Mike was at Mizzou you would see them recruiting the same players year after year.

No one recruits and builds a team around back to the basket centers, it isn't the 1980s anymore.

Mike Anderson was a blessing for us and I will forever be grateful to that man for pulling Arkansas out of the sewer and stabilizing our program. Anybody that has ill will towards him is fricked in the head. I am excited about Muss and his potential here, but he inherited a stable program primed for a resurgence into the top echelon of college basketball.

I miss Mike the man, and believe he got us to the point we are at. The APR after Heath/Pel was terrible. Altman looked at our program and bailed for a reason.

MA is a Hog at heart and I will be forever grateful.

I am thrilled to have Muss on the Hill and in the media. His social media presence, recruiting prowess will do wonders here.

and Yes Dale... MA would be recruiting the same players as Muss at Mizzou... but if he continued his recruiting ways, he would lose out on most....

I believe Mike needed a kick in the rear because it was obvious he was complacent in Fayetteville. His firing is working out for us and him so the right move was made.

I will root for Mike just like I did when he was at UAB, Mizzou, Arkansas and now St. Johns. He is a good man and I believe he is sincere in wanting what's best for the student athlete and running a clean program.
