I'm not sure how true that is since the comparison pool in largely instate guys foe both. I think most would have figured out as with Criswell a staff has to make an effort for the instate guy, the "would have went to Arkansas no matter what" isn't true for the guys instate that everyone wants.
Muss' orienting his program around what is done in the NBA in practice and prep should help with the instate guys who are "too good for Arkansas" that Mike missed out on.
Point is their overall philosophy isn't night/day, the recruiting isn't going to differ night/day in regards to the type of recruit each recruits, etc. Another example is the charting of deflections, some here railed on Mike for keeping up with the staff, muss was talking about charting passes, the last two weeks it's been him harping on deflections charted with not mention of passes. In the future you'll see Muss not replace NBA first round pick talent with NBA first round talent at the same position, Arkansas has never been able to do that and in the event they have the NCAA has done a good job stepping in to stop it lol.
Eddie wasn't able to have the next triplets lined up to replace the originals, Nolan didn't have the next Corliss lined up, he didn't have the replacements for mayday, but he did have some solid college players replace them who helped win a NC.
Muss has down a great job thus far in recruiting, the next step for him is to bring in McD AA's, it's no coincidence when Arkansas was at it's height of a program they were on the roster. The difference between now and 30 years ago is most of these guys will be one and done, few play two seasons. Back then almost all were 3-4 year players.

I really hope this thread won't be bumped every week for the next 7 years.

Butler 7-0 run to come back and win it late. St John's falls to 11-3.

It should be anchored. Most if not all of us want Anderson to succeed. We've moved on for the better and so has he. He's a good dude.

It should be anchored.

As bad as I wanted Mike gone, he got us out of the Heath/Pelphrey ditch.
Time to move along there cowboy.

I wish Mike nothing but the best. Unless he faces us in the NCAA tourney someday
The guy loved the university. I felt bad that it didn't work out, but I appreciate his efforts here. He will always be a Razorback and be a part of our history.

It didn't work out quite as well as we had hoped but MA deserves credit for pulling us out of the tailspin that we had been in prior to his arrival. Sometimes you need a guy that might not take you to the Promised Land but will at least get you out of Hell.
