Offseason thread, I know, but we've been in offseason since the Colorado State loss.

Honestly I expect 3-5 wins. Don't see any reason to expect more. Morris is recruiting well, but that's not going to translate in to success until year 3.

We are losing some real talent on defense and we will be leaning on freshmen WRs and possibly QB. Going to be another tough season.

Without Bryant 3-5 wins. With bryant 5-7 wins imo

Maybe 4 or 5 wins. When Morris was hired I prepared for 2 rough seasons due to scheme change. That's why I'm not losing my mind over this season like half you numb skulls.

A bowl appearance. Have you seen the schedule?

How many wins depends on the QB we add, plus who all leaves and how fast our incoming freshman WRs and Henry can make an impact helping O’Grady open up the offense.

Boyd should go for 1,000 yards if he can stay healthy and we have any threat of a passing game/running QB.

If Morris can put together several recruiting classes like this one then we will be pretty damn tough.

I didn't expect more than 3 or 4 wins this season. I won't lie, though, I thought we would be a little better on offense than we are.

Same.

Biggest issue is that the defense loses a lot, and the offense returns most of their contributors but there's very little talent there to get excited about. Like the old Lou Holtz quote goes, we return a lot of experience but it's bad experience. Here's hoping that Ty makes that junior to senior step up like Brandon Allen did.

The incoming class is otherworldly for what we've come to accept in terms of our recruiting, but they're not going to be needle movers in year one. We won't start reaping the true benefit of this class until 2020.

I'm hopeful that another year in the S&C program will get further from #BodybyHerb and build our players' bodies to the right type for SEC play. We haven't had team speed since 2011 and haven't out-physicaled anyone since 2015. Top of the list for the coaches this offseason should be speed, technique, and mental toughness. That TD run by Brossette last night was one of the most embarrassing plays I've ever seen.

I did too, a little better. Then I remembered that our best QB isn't very good and our WR's can't get separation.
Add to that a make shift Oline and no depth on the dline.

The more I think about it the more I want to body slam fat arse. Not sure I could pick that tub of lard up, though.

Have you? Who do you see them beating other than the non-cons?

If a couple of those freshman WRs can bust in to the lineup then we should definitely get close to bowl eligibility. Actually having someone that can stretch the field would open up the offense a ton. Of course, we’d also need a QB to throw that ball. I’m hoping Bryant, Noland or KJ can beat out Ty to make that happen.

All I know is, folks is gonna start looking at his buyout number by about week 5 next year.

In case yall are wondering, it's $9.8 million next after next year then goes down 2.45 million after evey year after that.

Not sure if you're messing with me or not. Same thing I heard before this season started.

I just hope to be playing well by the time we play Notre Dame. Don't get me wrong, I would like to see us make nig strides next season, but I haven't seen anything this season to lead me to believe we we have a good team next season.

Way too early to tell. Gotta see who actually reaches campus first.

The success of next year hinges on guys that weren't on the team this year. All things considered, that's a good thing. Relying on this current roster will get us nothing.

Right. If there is a lot of decommits for whatever reason then my thoughts change. As it stands now, we are going to have a serious influx of talent to the roster which is promising.

Depth on defense will skyrocket, particularly up front. That will help with some of the late-game woes.

LOL. This year we rode the easiest schedule in a decade to 2-10 (0-8). We'll win 3-4 games in another shitty season next year because we'll depend on freshmen too much and still won't have a QB unless KB comes here.

4 OOC wins, Ole Miss loses pretty much anyone that matters and we get them in game 2 and same with Kentucky, assuming Snell goes pro, who we get in game 5. Find a QB and there’s your six wins.

I'm honestly concerned that Morris won't get enough time here to get it done. I think we are in for another rough year next season.

Our offensive line is terrible, and is going to be just as terrible next year.

Our offensive line has been the #1 reason we have been terrible for three fricking years now.
