OT: The train track murders and the west memphis three

I have been extremely bored today and decided to do some googling. I was pretty familiar with the train track incident in 1987, but I embarrassingly admit to not knowing much at all about the west Memphis three. I did some reading on it and all I can really say is holy shite. I'm sure this topic has been discussed before, but what are some of y'alls thoughts on it? Also, I ordered the book The Boys on the Tracks and am looking forward to reading it.

If you Google "west Memphis three tigerdroppings"
You will find a few topics that may interest you.
I've watched a few documentaries about the wm3

Watch Paradise Lost and the other two (?) documentaries after it. They’ll blow your mind.

Yea that's what I seen while researching it. I am confused on a couple of things, though. Like when one of the 3 suspects mentioned the boys having a "wound on his genitals" when in reality the boy did. How would he know that without it being already released? Hell, maybe it was and I'm just looking to much into it

You can find the docs on prime video

Those two boys were killed by someone.
They didn't "overdose" on marijuana.

I think that's pretty obvious So was the killer still around after the train ran them over to recover the green tarp?

You have to be careful with documentaries and their biases. Remember there is a lot of money to be made off the controversy of this case.
I recommend viewing the document archive at https://callahan.mysite.com/. 100% documents from the case with no commentary.
Damien fits the bill of someone who would commit the WM3 murders. He had a shitty relationship with his parents, was in and out of mental hospitals, was extremely disturbed (don't let the documentaries fool you, he was not simply "misunderstood", go to the link above and view his medical records), and had mulitple issues with animal cruelty. All the hallmarks of many sadistic killers.
The prosecution did not do a good enough job to prove to me beyond a reasonable doubt that Echols did this. However, I am around 75% sure he did.

Yea that Netflix show was so one sided, dude is a murdering sexual predator and his I don’t think is completely innocent here either.

This, as in don’t believe in everything you see/read. As is true in any case very few people take the time or are in a position to comb through the transcripts in a case. When it comes to a trial, very few people (outside the jurors, judge, court reporter, attorneys and parties) are actually taking in the complete case as it unfolds, especially since we generally don’t publicly record/broadcast cases here. A lot of opinions are based on snippets or on what others have said or summarized as far as what the evidence consisted of in a case. So for most people you are usually going to be reviewing it through someone else’s filter and keep in mind peoples’ agendas can affect how it gets presented to you. Folks love good stories.

IIRC- all the first doc did was make me question the kinda weirdo acting dad (stepdad?) who turned out to be innocent too.
I'm not sure either of Echols innocence.
Like the Morgan Nick's case I'd love to know the real truth one of these days. Those two cases and another mystery of who was stalking one of my male friends back in the day- it was someone I knew it had to have been from the letters written, etc. but I just don't know who and I'll always wonder.

You have me curious. A male being stalked? Tell us more. Did some chick just have a major crush or was this a dangerous situation? What did the letters say?

Who did Asa appoint recently as our 'drug czar?' Name sound familiar? If it doesn't do a little reading...

They are still laying in the bed. Won't have to worry about them until the afternoon.

Just do a little research on Dr. Fahmy Malak.
