After a bit of LOL's and regressing a bit.
Nobody knew without a doubt how Muss would translate to the SEC and Arkansas. Whether his transfer act would work or not, whether he could cruit HS kids or not.

Nah, this is cfb_fanatic... I'm not quick to call anyone else an idiot, but his post history is all terrible takes, name calling, and anger at fellow fans. We have 2 or 3 Hogville rejects here just like that, and he's one of them

I'll admit I chuckled though.
Another takeaway from this thread is how high a lot of us were on Marshall, myself included. That would have been the old Arkansas hire to make. Fresh new shiny coach straight into another scandal.

I watched Nevada basketball back then because I liked the Martin twins and the game Nevada played. I always thought the way he used the transfers would translate well here. Never thought he’d be pulling in top 3 recruiting classes though.
Plus he as that dorky social media type that connects with fans so we always eat that crap up.

Just want to emphasize that I liked the hire from the very beginning. I've been on the Muss bus and Beard wasn't an option anyway.

Sure it was a myopic, dumb take. But he already owned up to it, admitted it was idiotic, and paid his penance in the other “within three years” thread.
If we’re going to start canceling people, we’ve got a few folks in here who were Bert apologists until late 2017, and even a few who made excuses for Morris until into the 2019 season.
