This but I am very happy with the hire. Marshall is the only one that I would have higher (of the realistic choices) but even he wasn't a guarantee to come. He has put his name out there many times just to get a raise.

Exactly same feeling. Wish it was Marshall happy with Musselman, glad we didn't trip over our dicks and get stuck with a Pitino.

I think this is a really good hire. At first I wasn't happy about the name at all. At least when I first heard it. But after reading up about his past I'm happy. At one time he was considered a rising star in the NBA. He did very well in the NBA G league. And he's gone head to head with some of the better programs in the country recently.
He almost beat Beard in Lubbock last year. Took them to overtime. And his team rarely gets blown out. My biggest concern with him is recruiting high school kids and keeping them around long enough to develop them.
But after Mikes flat out lazy recruiting I think it can't be any worse. Glad this is over.
