You can't settle for FGs against more talented teams like LSU and expect to win.

Exactly. I knew those first half FGs when we were marching the ball down the field pretty reliably, would come back to bite us.

The crazy part to me is that we somehow almost still won. We should've been blown TF out based on that alone.

I saw a lot of good things though, lots of improvement from the first 3 games. If we can actually play that level and intensity the rest of the way, we can still win 5 or 6 more games. The Mississippi schools look like wins and so does Auburn. Although they're 4-0, Mizzou doesn't look great. If we play like tonight we can keep it close and maybe even pull an upset against a reeling Bama.

It's all about how the team responds this week against aTm. It's looking like these are going to be the two toughest games on our schedule, we just have to keep the same intensity and limit the penalties and we'll win a handful more.

We'll see how the team responds and if Sam can get them to come out and play their hardest after two deflating losses. That will tell us everything about Sam and this team's future.

Y’all forgetting Briles scored 10 points against LSU at home last year after the defense played lights out?

You keep saying this but you do realize Malik Hornsby was our QB that game right?

Same here, LSU may have some questionable coaching, but they are a team, absolutely loaded with national championship caliber talent, and Arkansas gave them everything they could handle in their own house

So Briles deserves a pass for using the QB he recruited and developed?

The SEC West WAS a very difficult division to play in. It is down big this year.

- Alabama is very vulnerable this year with bad QB play. Is tDecline real? Will this continue?
- Auburn stinks, but Freeze will turn this around. How long until they are back?
- Miss State is missing their best player, Mike Leach - ala 2012 Petrino-less Arkansas.
- Ole Miss is good, but not good enough to beat the worst Alabama team in over a decade
- LSU, we almost beat them and got their poop pushed in by an FSU team that has struggled.
- A&M, hasn’t looked overly impressive thus far.

Now would have been the time to strike in KJs final year. Just disappointing.

10 points is 10 points. Even worse when they only scored 13.

Don’t see you responding to scoring 19 at home against Liberty and losing.

My point still remains that Briles or Enos, it doesn’t matter when your defense gives up this many big plays and all of the unforced mistakes.

I think Briles and Enos are both solid coordinators. Just annoyed with the constant look back saying “things would be different!” When they were actually the same most of last year.

People forget, Petrinos offense would stall at times. They all do.

He just found ways to win games and make plays when it counted. We find ourselves not doing that a lot with Pittman. Very similar to HDN.

Like I said, I’ll give him this season if they improve and stay competitive and 3-4 games next season.

Why is the bar only to "stay competitive" now? Where else is this acceptable?

You can’t run the ball when your QB can’t throw. LSU took away our only advantage that day and just had Perkins spy Hornsby and wreck shite. KJ would’ve made a huge difference in that game. Criticize Briles for recruiting Hornsby bc he clearly wasn’t a P5 caliber QB but he was completely out of his league that day. Hell even when Renfro finally came in he threw a touchdown pass. Should’ve started him in retrospect

Also I don’t need to reply to all of your posts just calling out this obvious point. Liberty was a bad loss. I’m not convinced KJ was close to 100% in that game either FWIW

And yet these people know enough about the game to know when to call a timeout, something Pittman can’t figure out. Still can’t believe we’re paying him $6 million a year to learn on the job.

Do you have another catchphrase or substantive post, or is that all you’re getting from ChatGPT when telling it “write me a Hogville-esque post in the tone of a contrarian douchebag”?

we would have won the past two games if the over the top fan base who have never played or coached had not run off his coordinators

You clearly never coached, much less even played

I’m sure you’ve never played or coached football at any level

You’ve probably never played or coached football on any level

The majority of our fan base has never played or coached football on any level

Hopefully you have more to offer than simply asking for everyone’s high school letters and tape.

Back up QB who transferred to a smaller school and still didn't win the starting job.

So you’re saying you’ve never coached or played the game besides on the PlayStation or Xbox? In that case, shut the frick up, and I’ll take my dick out of your mouth when I’m ready for your opinion bitch.

Arkansas only has 1 conference loss to the projected leader of the west. This team is still in the running for the division and look as good or better than all others I’ve seen. A 2 or more loss team could win the west this year.

We aren’t out of it yet in conference play.

Nobody would be complaining if not for the BYU game

This. I hate it for Pittman bc we’re obviously a better team than BYU but that loss hurt his credibility unfortunately. I think he’s a good coach he just doesn’t have good situational awareness experience.

For instance the two timeouts in the 3rd quarter last night was atrocious. BUT, it’s possible that KJ called timeout without permission.

If I had to guess, I'd bet this is incorrect. I may be wrong, but I feel like the majority of American males, in the south, have played on some level. Irregardless, having not played doesn't mean someone doesn't know enough about it to form an opinion.

Plenty NFL and college coaches who never played or never played beyond high school...Jon Gruden, Hugh Freeze, and the Pirate are among those folks.

You know more than them, I'm sure.
