Some 247 folks are saying that Burks is about "make national headlines" with a big NIL deal, presumably with a major Arkansas-based company.

With how marketable Burkes' hunting and fishing hobbies are, my first guess was it will be a big Walmart FLW deal.

Ranger boats also makes sense. And even though they're not technically Arkansas -based, Bass Pro makes is a natural fit, too.

He's pretty much an outdoor marketing exec's dream brand face.

Should be pretty good for us. We have lots of BIG money donors that wouldn't be troubled messing around with the bag man bullshite but they will come on board if they have an ROI off the field.

I could be wrong and this turns out being terrible for us too

When money becomes involved, corruption is sure to follow.

I understand the premise of 'they should be paid because of the money they bring in', which is well and good - BUT, this will cause more problems than it solves.

The rich will get richer, which means it may be a mixed bag for us

I'm more worried about getting to 6 wins this year than who has "signed" with who. Hopefully we can see some good reporting on position battles, etc and our infamous Arkansas media doesn't take a cop out and just report on the NIL shite

I'm in this camp. I'm not against the principle, but I could see this easily going south.

No one is going to bank more than the LSU gymnast who hit the genetic lottery with that face. 1.1M followers on Instagram.

Yeah. It looked like she was hanging out at a modeling agency in her stories. The pretty girls are going to make the most, and they should since they will never make it off their sports.

I read Tom Brady through contract and endorsements mad $35m 1 year. The same year Giselle made $150m.

I’m curious to see how this plays out in today’s equity/equality world where you have Victoria Secret dropping actual models for who knows what. Once the crazies find out only the hot girls are making real money, are they going to try to force the NCAA or government to make them share?

Having seen both squads i don't think it's gonna be an especially close rivalry.
Now those volleyball and soccer teams....

They are raging at the system like they are CBGB in the 70s. They don’t understand they are Imagine Dragon, they went corporate. You can’t fight the system when you are the system.

Softball chicks are going to go from 5’4 and 7’ wide to hitting the vegan, yoga and squats.

THIS is one of the issues that I foresee. Not many female athletes are going to benefit a lot from this. I'm sorry, but they just don't generate the revenue that men do. Sad fact is sad fact.

Uhhh wut? Females are going to kill it with NIL. Probably much more so than men. They are going to get tons of endorsements from feminine products and many are already set up with a strong social media presence.

Your thinking on this is outdated my friend. You don't think hot cheerleaders can cash in on this? Volleyball players? Hell even the unattractive super woke butch women will have an audience that they can cash in on if they play it right.

We'll see. Unless corporations are forced to, I don't believe they are going to be rushing to have the 'less known' athletes endorse their products. Just like they are doing with current professional athletes. It's all about 'return on investment.'
