With 6 games left (hopefully), I think its interesting to see where we stand currently and what we have left.

Arkansas current record: 19-5

Current NET: 18

Quad 1 record: 6-4

Quad 2 record: 4-1

Quad 3 record: 3-0

Quad 4 record: 6-0

Remaining games and what quadrant they fall into at the moment

@Mizzou (Quad 1) W

Florida (Quad 1) W

@Texas A&M (Quad 3) PP

Bama (Quad 1) W

LSU (Quad 1) W

@USCe (Quad 2)

A&M (Quad 3)

LOL.

We still haven't figured anything out. Kentucky is trash and almost dropped us.

We will lose at least 3 of our last 6.

5-1 would certainly be a stretch imo but kenpom has us at 4-2 over that course of games and it correctly projected the 1 point win last night.

2-4 is probably worst case and 4-2 is probably the ceiling.

Win Saturday thought and that can change alot

I disagree. I thought we looked bad when we were undefeated and our early conference losses proved that to be true. It's clear that Muss has since slowed them down, and has them concentrating on layups, rather than threes. While the schedule has been easier, we look like a different team during our conference win streak. It's unlikely that we'll win out, but I don't think there's anyone we can't beat.

I love the fact that UK's record is horrible, but I'll say last night was one of UK's best-played games this season... even slimy Cal said as much in his post-game.

If UK had played like that the whole season their record would look much different.

Muss still made some moves that looked like anxiety, but he let players play past setbacks a bit more last night... thinking Vanover and Williams.
Would have liked to have seen Desi work out of his funk, but thankfully it didn't cost us this time.

We also can't forget that this team is 14-1 with Justin Smith in the line up and one of those losses was with him coming back from an injury against Bama on the road.

Smith looks better and better every game post injury. I could see Arkansas going 4-2 easily. The schedule is very favorable

So, basically, we bout to go 3-3. Muss knows this. That's why he was so Neptune level pissed about not playing A&M.

He knows that was an arse whooping win in hand and that he will lose out on, and probably drastically affect the March Madness chances and SEC tournament seeding.

An A&M win would do very little for us, especially at home. A&M and Vandy are very clearly at the bottom of the league. They can do very little to help your resume but hurt you really bad if you slip up.

Would be nice to be 8-4 right now instead of 7-4 though.

This stuff gets over analyzed with the ESPN-ification of sports everyone claims to hate

Win = good, lose= bad. No such thing as "good losses". And I'm not wasting time memorizing three steps down of who needs to beat who and when and where and why.

I'm not sure anyone uses that but not all loses are created equal and that is just the way college basketball is and always will be.

The committee is looking at it.

Mizzou losing to Ole Miss is a BAD Loss...

Would be nice to take them our at Mizzou. If they play like they did tonight, yep... we can do it.

Yeah Mizzou laid a head scratcher tonight. Ole Miss was shooting 70 percent at one point in the second half. Sometimes those games happen.

The parity as it relates to CFB is refreshing... just like a mid-major with a salty pitcher can reach up and slap a blue-blood baseball program around on any given day.
