The sad part

That's rich. What's really sad is people like yourself saying you don't want Gus because he sucks, and now after he beats the #1 team in the country your argument is that he's doing so well that he wouldn't come here.

You're going to thank Georgia fans? Have you lost your mind? Yeah, thank god Gus blew out the #1 team in the country and has his team in the top 10. Whew! Wouldn't want that here! Stay far away Gus! Let's hire the coach from fricking Memphis.

So you think Auburn would let him go now?

Ole Miss fans were psyched about getting Houston Dale because he had just knocked off the #1 team and eventual bcs champs.

So yeah let's all get psyched about the pulling HDN2.0 from the plains.

Houston Nutt would be a huge upgrade right now. In hindsight we never should have fired him. Look at what's happened since then, it's like he put a voodoo hex on the program.

Ole Miss probably wishes we hadn't fired him either

You didn’t answer my question. Btw, you can look at some threads I’ve posted in today and you’ll see a few surprising comments from auburn fans still. But it doesn’t matter because just like here, the fans don’t make the hiring decisions.

You think the only way we could hire Malzahn is if Auburn fired him? He doesn't have a buyout...

I don’t think they would let him go, they would outbid us. Gus said that’s his dream job anyway, don’t you want him to be happy?

While I agree that he’s an upgrade over Bert, claiming we shouldn’t have ever fired Nutt is rank insanity.

Look at what has happened to our program since then. It would have been better to keep him instead of enduring the Petrino scandal, John L. Smith and now the Bert catastrophe. This is the worst stretch of Arkansas football in history.

Yes, this is exactly what I said and meant in that post, your comprehension truly knows no bounds.

I'm saying the AD at Arkansas WILL NOT hire him away from AU, made a post saying as much long before he "blew out the #1 team in the country." It has nothing to do with us not being able to get him because he's "doing so well that he wouldn't come here" and is such a good coach, and everything to do with the fact that AU won't fire him now. You're projecting your clear inferiority complex onto my posts or trolling your own fanbase hard.

And then in the same breath you claim youd take HDN back and that firing him was the downfall of the program, only solidifying that whole inferiority complex... What an ironic joke. I'll let the downvotes speak for themselves, that single upvote you give yourself on nearly every post isnt fooling anyone.

We don't need Auburn to fire him.

Looks like you can't count either. Sad!

Oh you're serious aren't you? You seriously believe our AD would hire him away from Auburn?

Let's hear your solid reasoning why this would happen in any universe and why Gus himself would leave there for here. And don't give me that "he'd be coming home tho!" fanboy BS.

Gus said he would never take the Arkansas job after getting the Auburn job, Arkansas was below his level as a HC.

Now Gus is putting feelers out to see if Arkansas has any interest in him.

Why?

Because his team is going to be extremely young next year in all 3 phases, he is willing to move on to avoid being fired as he knows Auburn isn't going to put up with a complete rebuild every 4-5 years.

After turning down Nebraska to get is 2 year pass for a complete rebuild, Nutt put out feelers to LSU, Miami, Bama, and ultimately got Ole Miss to bite, he was doing everything possible to move on before being fired as he knew 2008-2009 would see him fired if he didn't make a move first...

Razorbronks... Gus is very interested in coming to Arkansas, at least prior to yesterday. Dale has hit it right on the head. He put out feelers earlier this season to some of the BOT.

Not saying it will happen, and I am hoping it doesn't for other reasons..

And I don't think it will. NOW>>>

Would one game cause Gus to not be interested? and yep, unless JL was pushed to do so, he wouldn't hire Gus for one main reason..

Anyone care to guess?
