Milroe is the best Running Back in the nation. That's why I've been saying since PRESEASON he needs 20-30 carries per game.
He's still not much of a passer. He missed 2 wide open deep balls which would've ended the game, but instead we let LSU stick around for another quarter and it could've gone in a different direction.
LSU was having terrible luck reminiscent of us against Vanderbilt. Penalties coming at the worst possible times.
Yeah it's great to see Milroe finally running the ball again, but let's see how the rest of the season goes

It was pouring rain and we rushed for 300+ yards. Why would we throw it more than necessary?
It's almost like we had a game plan based on the conditions and the opponent, and went out there and executed it. Crazy concept!

You never know what this bipolar team is going to do. I like them tonight though. Made LSU quit.
It's a new world. I think just watching Geogia validates that. Kirby said as much after their loss.
I say this only to say that we can't compare DeBoer to Saban. Saban lived in a different world. When that world changed, he decided to retire.
We can only compare him to other SEC coaches. And by that metric, he's doing a damn good job, especially in his first year. If I could trade him for any other SEC coach...I don't think I would.
I also think Milroe was playing hurt. Those runs behind the RB were a thing of beauty. I saw acceleration, speed, and moves we haven't seen from him in a while.
This "new world" also means we can lose a game or two and still make the playoffs...we got so accustomed to fearing a loss that I think we sometimes just didn't enjoy the individual wins as much.
I'm enjoying the shite out of this win.
Roll Tide.

If he plays like he did last night, no.
If he plays like he did against Vandy? Yes.
I want whoever is going to give us the best chance to win, on the field, regardless. Whether that’s Milroe or not is up to Milroe.

If he was so hurt he couldn't run 10 yds vs 10rc Simpson should have been given a chance.

Question:
Do you think Milroe will rush for 185 on OU?
100?

The first pass was just about perfect. It hit Williams in both of his hands. And he likely catches it if it's not pouring down rain.

He's one of the best running QB's in the nation. But, he doesn't have the wiggle or vision to be a great RB. A QB has a numbers advantage running the ball that a RB doesn't have. They also often have a wide open field to run to on passing plays. That doesn't translate to being great in the RB position.

Nope. Jalen played like shite at Tennessee. Never defended him for that performance. I'm simply pointing out that despite a great road win tonight some folks want to criticize instead of celebrating a great win. Why?
Praising Milroe is equivalent to Jill saying, "YOU ANSWERED EVERY QUESTION, JOE!"

All in all, Milroe’s passes were pretty solid last night, considering the weather.

Being critical of Milroe is fine because I still have my doubts we can win a game where a defense can consistently force Milroe to hand off or get ran down on the edge while keeping him in the pocket on passing downs.
However the offense did show some progress in having answers for when teams decide to bottle him up in the pocket. You can usually bet on crossers having more effectiveness because the WR can move across the field with the increased time to throw. We've already seen all the best pass rushers on our schedule too. So time in the pocket may be increasing for Milroe.

This shows how much you know.
Milroe was 18/24 for 310 yards passing against Vanderbilt. We scored 35 points and had the ball less than 18 minutes.
Vanderbilt was his 2nd best passing game of the season behind only UGA. Milroe's play didn't have shite to do with the Vandy loss.

Unsure why people can't see the nuance of Milroe criticism. If they run him wild and he is decisive, it's amazing. At other times he struggles, especially when forced to throw the ball. These gotchas are silly.

When a team can't but stop the qb run then milroe is excellent. Like the best at it. However if a team stops the run and he has to win the game with his arm then his past shows some inconsistencies in said area yes.

"Cult of Milroe" is strong in this forum. Y'all can take a positive performance by him and turn it into him being the greatest player to ever walk through the doors of Bryant Denny Stadium. LOL

This is what gets me. There will be an 8 page thread titled “Jalen Milroe Killed Alabama Football,” and those same people will turn around and tell us Cult members to be more reasonable

Who gives a crap, really? The Milroe apologists are just as bad as the Milroe haters. The team won, we're 7-2 and hopefully well on our way to a playoff. That's all that should matter. Not whether one player is "getting his flowers". LOL!
These guys are now PAID players, many making more money than a lot of the fans watching. They're not amateur kids playing for the love of the game. They're going to get overly criticized and overly praised. It's the nature of big-time sports. The team won and that's all that matters.
