Dline has fallen off but those boys were playing their asses off the other night. I would hesitate to make any changes to the one side of the ball that improved as the season went on

Offensive line hasn't been where it needs to be since 2020. Defensive line improved this year, offensive line never did. This despite the offensive line having more hyped prospects

For those who haven’t been paying attention: the defense was not the issue the last three games. It was purely the offense. The defense kept the score respectable the other day when it could have easily been 31-0 at halftime.

OLC inherited a problem and couldn't fix it in a year. Joe Pendry couldn’t even fix the mess Bob Connolly left him in 2007.

LOL my mind initially skipped over the "4" and saw "4th & Milroe." Kind of reminds me of "3rd & Kirby" and "3rd & Golding."

Don't know what you are supposed to do when you have guys that are massive but not dominant, and that's the kinda players at your disposal. If you are going to be enormous, you better not get pushed around. We have body composition and body type issues on the oline, plus injury issues. We need the tackles to lose 20-60 lbs. Guards were good when healthy.

And we just took a 6-4, 330-pound lineman in the portal. I’m not sure how that works.

I thought the interior O line was pretty good. It was the tackles who completely sucked. Both are fat, out of shape, slow and desperately need to drop weight. Proctor needs to drop probably 40-50 lbs and Pritchett needs to drop probably 20-30 lbs plus they both need to work on their quickness.

Frankly, both Proctor and Pritchett are approaching bust status. They both need to get better or get gone and both should have to fight to keep their starting jobs even if they lose the weight.

I wouldn't be surprised to see incoming freshman Michael Carroll take one of their jobs. I know he's supposed to be a guard but he's quick enough to play tackle.

Regardless, I cannot believe that we don't have two guys who would be better than those two (Proctor and Pritchett). I realize recruiting is an inexact science and there are mis-evaluations but I refuse to believe with all those mostly 4 star recruits, we cannot get two others ready to play.

DL talent is very thin, especially DT.

Agree with D line depth. We've got a number of guys who were or are projects and will be 2-3 years before they're ready to play. We need difference makers now. I know NIL comes into play but there's also a saying that you get what you pay for.

I would think signing big time DT/DE types in the 2026 class and/or the portal would or SHOULD be a massive emphasis.

Yeah, there's a definite personnel problem, but I also have a hunch he's not very good. Not like a bring out the pitchforks after year one type hunch though lol.

Biggest coaching flaw on the offensive side was the flow of our play calling, I think. We have the concepts and play designs, but it seemed like Sheridan just didn't have a feel for organizing things or responding to what defenses were bringing. But, there again, he was working with a handicap, so hard to know.

Its time for Freddie to move on. I dont know about O-line. Its hard to gauge and O-line coach IMO. Everyone talked up Kyle Flood...and I mostly only saw disappointment from run game. Against ASU, Texas(where Flood is now) could not run the ball at all.

Id be inclined to think like DL recruiting...Oline recruiting has not been up to par last 4 years

Fear is we may lose a couple DL in the portal.

Exactly. And that OL had a lot more talent than this one.

What people simply DO NOT want to recognize is that our DL and OL recruiting has been subpar since 2020.

I think we need new OC/OL coach. They both are married within each other so if we get new OC.. we need new OL.

I mean we switched systems it wouldn’t surprise me.

But we need to bring in more guys than we lose at that position group moving forward or we have a massive problem going into next season.

The OL coach was a sketchy hire from the jump IMO. There have to be better coaches out there.
