There are coaches who don’t believe in benching QBs and there are coaches who treat them like any other player (Spurrier, etc).

In an air raid derivative system like ours I just think you might as well not even show up without a quality QB.

And again, Ty was ultra elite earlier this year… but he’s not able to run the offense right now so what’s the risk in trying something else?

Ty may just struggle on making quick reads behind a terrible o line.

He’s just like Milroe and the only reason Milroe started was because he was more athletic!

I think we take this game - by double digits

With a viable passing game I agree. Absent the turnovers we win the first game by double digits.

Hell even with the turnovers if we hit a FG from inside the 20 we win.

I don't think we win the game with the offense we saw against UGA however. We cant ride with what we had an expect to beat a team like OU on the road at night.

When runningbacks can’t run for more than a yard before contact and receivers/rb are dropping 6 passes a game, there’s not going to be a whole lot of hope for the QB. Unless, he’s playing at Heisman level.

It's so perfect that on here RBs who have been injured all season and the WRs who have struggled with injury don't get the excuses the QB gets.

They get criticized for their poor play but if you critique the QB? Nah man, he's injured and it's everyone else fault he can read quicker, get rid of the ball, throw accurate or even throw a deep ball.

Have you been on vacation? Everyone has been criticizing Simpson play the last month. With the exception of our center the OL has not changed that much at least the skill level. We have yet to demonstrate we can run the ball so healthy or not our Rs have been subpar. We do have WR that have been dropping the ball but they have been all season. The only difference of late it seems that Simpson is not as accurate and his throws are off now.

Why do y’all take Y-star seriously! Have you not picked him off yet.
This has been a 2 year troll.
Kudos sir. I doubted your greatness at first. I apologize.

If our line played better and we had a running game at all, Ty would be in the running for the Heisman.

No, what I see is the media, many online film study and coaching staff highlighting he hasn't been playing well.

I see aa section of fans here who believe that as well. Then I see a section of truthers who need a reason to say why he isn't play well so they use every excuse... which is ironic because the other positions they lambaste actually had these excuses but they don't care to show them the same mercies.

Always everyone else fault for them

Mr. Objectivity speaks. Honestly, did Ty call publicly call your mother a hoe? Pee in your breakfast cereal? Key your car?

No one is saying Ty has played well the last several games but you act like he’s Brandon Avalos 2.0.

Don't know and don't care. He's definitely not been playing his best lately, and that's all that really matters.

Whatever, the staff feels he gives us the best chance to win based on what they see in practice every day. If the O line is healthy our QB will do fine. Of course the receivers need to catch the ball and not fumble after a catch. Oklahoma wins games with a better field goal kicker so that, or the snapper or the punter have been problems in the losses we have had lately. The blocked punt had a bad snap and a missed block by a backup who was replacing an injured player. The backups had some bad plays vs Ga. Costly

Against Ga, our center was playing with an injury. DeBoer said this week that he should be close to 100 pct for Oklahoma and that will make a big difference.Kam Dewberry, was hurt and out.Vandemark went out with an injury during the game. Jam Miller and Kevin Riley were out and DeBoer said Daniel Hill was playing hurt. Both Tight ends, Lewis and Cuevas were out, leaving two freshmen. On top of that 6 defensive players were either listed as out or got injured during the game and didn’t return. Good luck to the backup quarterbacks

No he doesn't.

Reality is that Ty is not playing well. And it is a combination of factors. There are injuries. Ty may be injured too. The line is banged up, including tight end. The protection leaves a lot to be desired. Running backs are injured. Back ups don't block well. Receivers are not running great routes at times and flat dropping some balls. The scheme may not be to be great. Too much throwing and not enough power run to keep defences honest. How much of that has to do with poor talent, I don't know.

But, even AJ McCarron says that Ty is struggling with confidence right now. There is enough going on to throttle an offense really badly. Ty is part of the problem. He's not performing at a high level.
