The news business has died because of people like this guy.
Just think, the last major newspapers in Alabama stopped printing this week. In Birmingham alone, single copy newspapers alone accounted for 80,000+ sales per Sunday at one point. Those are real sales, not subscription or readership fake numbers.
Blame the internet all you want, but when you have these types of articles, combined with left-wing political analysis/opinion/news at the top of your feed and headlines - in a conservative state - only bad things can happen to your business.
It’s insane. In any other business, they would have been fired years ago. I go out of my way to NEVER buy anything from anyone who advertises on Al.com.

There is a new alternative, 1819 News
Their reporting is much more common sense, without the constant focus on race and clickbait. Their biggest hurdle is getting better sports reporting. Staff seems limited. If they had some volunteers in different areas to attend press conferences and report on various athletic events, they could possibly dominate the market and run the "News" completely out of business.
