As a UAB alum, I can tell you that most UAB fans don't want to play Bama and Auburn in football.
Basketball? Sure, I can see that.
Football? No way. There is no benefit to UAB to getting blown out by those teams every year. The UAB fans who feel otherwise are just emotional little girls.

Kevin Scarbinsky - knows the truth here. Never been crazy about Scarbs, but he is a long-time, respected journalist who knows the ends-and-outs of basketball in the state of Alabama more than anyone.
Goodman is a ruck maker. Period. Only moronic idiots would ever take this guy as a bastion of truth.
