- We have the talent to win
- We need that talent to focus (stay)
- Golding will continue to handicap us

So with that said it's all of Bill O'Brien, Bryce Young, the OL and those WR/TEs

Just like last year we go as far as the offense will take us because the defense is a huge liability.

To start we need to bleed in a new RT, try to mix in younger WRs and hope and pray BOB can be more creative in his play design and execution.

I think we're gonna run the table to Georgia. If we get some improvement on Defense, then we can certainly beat them. If we were to get past Georgia, nobody other than a Georgia rematch particularly scares me

If I had to bet on it though, we run the table and lose a competitive game to UGA in the SECCG. Which is why I'm rooting for as much chaos as possible from here

I’m thinking this ain’t our year to win it all. Young, inexperienced. Leadership lacking. Hell, we lost half of an NFL starting lineup it seems like. 2022 looks good.

At the start of the season, Randolph was mentioned as a starter/ possible starter at RT. I know he is valuable blocking as a TE but I just wonder where the idea of him playing RT went to?

Probably what will happen. Also, we never care about the Sugar Bowl if it's not a playoff game, so we will lose that. So final record ends up being 11-3.

However, I could see us dropping another regular season game, particularly at Auburn. If that happens, we could miss the SECCG and a Sugar Bowl bid. Probably end up in the Citrus Bowl or whatever.

I'm worried I'm being a sunshine pumper, but I feel like we're acting like the sky is falling over one bad half of football. Are there issues with this team? Sure there are. And I guess we could throw the defense from the Florida game into the equation and be concerned, but I look back to Saturday night, and I see things to be hopeful about, and mistakes that can be cleaned up - speaking mostly of the 2 turnovers.

I think we should win the rest of the regular season games, the toughest being @Auburn. Beyond that, who knows.

I hate to say the season got more interesting with a loss, but... the season got more interesting with the loss.

Remaining SEC games

Alabama (2-1)
10/16- at Miss State
10/23- Tennessee
11/6- LSU
11/20- Arkansas
11/27- at Auburn

Arkansas (1-2)
10/16- Auburn
11/6- Miss State
11/13- at LSU
11/20- at Alabama
11/26- Missouri

Auburn (1-1)
10/16- at Arkansas
10/30- Ole Miss
11/6- at Texas A&M
11/13- Miss State
11/20- at South Carolina
11/27- Alabama

Ole Miss (1-1)
10/16- at Tennessee
10/23- LSU
10/30- at Auburn
11/13- Texas A&M
11/20- Vanderbilt
11/25- at Miss State

Texas A&M (1-2)
10/16- at Missouri
10/23- South Carolina
11/6- Auburn
11/13- at Ole Miss
11/27- at LSU

Not going over Miss State or LSU because they're basically out of contention at this point.

The good news about losing to TAMU is that we're immune from a three-way tie with only 1 loss. If we win out, we win the West and it doesn't matter about anyone else. If we lose to Auburn (or anyone else), there are too many possibilities really. In all scenarios, it seems Ole Miss is our unwilling ally going forward

The truth is if UGA didnt look so amazing, we'd probably all be feeling way better. Id take us over any team except 1. Unfortunately, barring absolute chaos across the country, we have to beat that 1 team to make the playoffs.

I think our offense can score enough points on Georgia to beat them. IF our defense played to its potential, then we can absolutely hold Georgia under 20 points.

I don't see them quite as unbeatable as you guys I guess.

I have no idea what to expect.

But did anyone expect 2020? Did anyone REALLY expect Mac to be better? There were convos about Bryce winning his spot.

The defense wasn't all that great last year either. We let Florida and Ole Miss score all over us. They were just good enough.

The offense was just historic, our best ever.

We have a good, maybe great offense this year, but it's not AS good. And the defense has regressed.

This doesn't add up to a championship. I want to win one, sure, but I'm not going to be wrecked if we don't. We've only repeated once. It's very hard to win two in a row.

Would this team beat the 2010 team? I...kinda doubt it.

Having said that, we need to beat Auburn and Tennessee. Losing to Auburn is a stain on any record, natty (2017) or not.

Which puts the loss on the Offense. That scored 38 points.

38 points should have been enough.

The offense made mistakes...but they weren't inept. The defense looked inept for much of the game.

Not impressed with anything they have done on offense. Putting up production on really awful teams. They could only produce 10 points on a mediocre Clemson. Their defense is legit.

It's less about Georgia being unbeatable and more about Golding being Golding.

I'll take BoB for another year just for continuity. Golding can disappear.

This. BoB still has a few leftover NFL tendencies to get out of his system (3 passes inside the red), but in fairness, the group he’s working with up front just aren’t doing their jobs very well, especially RT. Sometimes it looked like half the line was doing pass pro and the rest were doing run. It was… depressing to watch, to say the least.

Golding on the other hand… he’s been given the same test for years, and failed every time. I’ll be surprised if he’s on staff next year. I have a strange feeling Pruitt has already been contacted, but who knows.

We lose one more game, which I hate to admit. It will likely end up being UT, as much as it pains me to say that. After that, AU will be a struggle because of Nix’s scrambling (unless we load out like we did against OM).

We’ll find out which way we go tomorrow, usually we respond very well. After that it depends how we play the next game , if we regress to our bad habits, we might lose 1 or two more . Awbarn will be our toughest game because it’s in JH.
Arkansas should be a hard fought victory. 10rC , try again next year Vols.

Agreed. I hope this loss lit a fire under these guys. It usually tends to.
