Some have Najee ranked as the fourth best back in the draft.

I haven't seen him above #5 in any mock draft, #6 if Hubbard leaves.

Almost every analysis I've seen has him behind Swift, Taylor, Etienne and Dobbins, and most also have him behind Hubbard (if he does declare). Quite a few have him behind Akers and/or Moss as well.

CBS has him outside the Top 100 (and outside the Top 6). ESPN has him #6 (and this does not include Hubbard).

Bo Scarborough dropped in the draft due to his injury/durability history and "character" concerns. Had nothing to do with him staying another year.

Harris should probably wait and see what Hubbard and CEH does.

If they both leave, he should stay. One or both stays, he should leave.

He did break his fibula in the National Championship game so that and his character issues could have impacted his draft stock but it is hard for me to believe he would have been a 7th round pick after the redshirt sophomore season he had. He was at worst projected a second day pick going into the National Championship game.

SIAP, but looks like we might get an answer on Najee tomorrow?

quote:

Per source: Najee Harris will announce his decision on Friday, whether it be returning to Alabama for his senior year, or entering the 2020 NFL Draft.

From the guy who tweeted that out:

quote:

Notable returning players for Alabama include Dylan Moses, Alex Leatherwood and Devonta Smith. Keeping Harris would be huge for Alabama as he recorded 1,224 rushing yards and 20 total touchdowns last season. Harris is projected to be a late first round or early second round pick.

#22 needs to go to the NFL now. He is what he is and he is healthy as well. His lack of break away speed is the only reason he's not round 1 or 2 and he can't fix that. Best of luck to him.. round 3-4 but he will still be a millionaire soon.

The longer it takes the more I feel they are trying to figure out how to make the roster numbers.

Are there any hard statistics on average NFL career of an RB who stays 4 years versus ones that leave early?
It's not necessarily would affect only Najee, but I wonder if, perhaps, if a player stays in college one more season, taking hits from lesser players and when he gets to the pros, he is wiser and may last longer.

some NFL guys say he is what he is, some say he can cut down his 40 and have a monster season = rise on boards
This is exactly what I’ve been thinking.

I tend to think he is what he is and should go. He’s runs very hard and kinda stiff in a straight line(even though he has moves and can do incredibly athletic things). It kinda looks like he starts each stride with his hips, if that makes since. It LOOKS slow and stiff, like he’s willing his legs forward instead of having quick feet and driving his knees. Hell, idk how to describe it. It’s like he doesn’t have the knee drive that fast RBs or sprinters have. His knees don’t seem to ever get above......his knees lol.

I tend to think it’s too late but if he could slim down and get faster and keep what makes him dynamic he’d be a 1st round pick.

If Malachi Moore tweets he's headed to Tuscaloosa, then you know Najee declared for the draft.

Assuming, of course, Najee doesn't announce it before Malachi's tweet.

Tim Watts is now saying Najee is leaning towards returning to Alabama.

Wow

A 1-2 punch of Najee pounding and Trey Sanders ripping off long runs behind our veteran OL? That's pretty fvcking appealing.

If we get the following to come back

- Moses
- D. Smith
- Leatherwood
- N. Harris

I will forgive the football office for the dominoes tweet. That would be a damn good and positively surprising haul.

Najee was top 10 in the SEC in rec TDs and #4 in rushing yards.

Along with Smith and Waddle, that's close to 75% offensive production coming back.

Even so, 4 dominoes is not much of a game.
I'd put it not as "dominoes falling", but more as "dominoes trickling down"

What about "dominoes tipped over in a stiff breeze"?
