hell no. we still don't tackle, take bad angles, and get dragged around the second half of every game.

If Georgia can tackle, then we can. Either Golding or whoever needs to teach them how

Hellams is still a tackle missing machine. Seriously what percentage of his tackle attempts are missed? 90%

I don't understand how, as soon as the pitchforks are sharpened and torches lit, Golding comes out of nowhere, and cornholes an elite offense. I mean, he used that movie theater butter as lube on a cocky Freshwater.

Nope. We’ve got a lot of games left.

Feels like the game has changed. We're used to the salty defenses of 1992 and 2011.

But today did feel like a bit of a throwback. I didn't expect us to shut them out like we did for so long.

The final score didn't reflect the total arse whipping we put on them tonight.

Because our defense didn't come out of the locker room at halftime. Defense was not impressive after half.

Defense played great yesterday.

Shut them out for almost 3 quarters, and allowed our O to put the game away basically at half time.

This is the same team that a lot of you nancies were predicting to throw up 40+ on us.

Mad respect to Golding and the Bama D.

Couple bad calls on PI but I thought we played well I mean when you are that far ahead it is a little hard to hold intensity sometimes. Plus they have coaches too that make adjustments . I was very pleased . Made them one dimensional

Golding can have my apology when he pries it from my cold, dead hands.

How many times are we going to do this? A better question may be how many times will we need to do this.

I think there’s a failure of some of us to look at this correctly. Certainly the defense played very well in the first half yesterday, and we kind of lost focus after that due to the scoreboard. I will give our DC credit for that. But we shouldn’t be a top 15 defense at best, or in giving up 21 points. I’m just going to leave saying something that needs to be said; the way we used to play defense has now moved to Athens, and is shutting people out and totally down while playing intimidating defense. That’s the type of D we should be playing, and always had before Golding took over. I support our program fully, but I will also have a really big celebration when he finally moves on, however it happens, from our program.

Lol yeah this DEFINITELY hasn't been said a thousand times.

Georgia hasn't played any good offenses.

We just shut down one of the best offenses in college football.

Pete Golding is our DC. He's not going anywhere. Accept it and enjoy a big victory of which our D played their asses off in, and stop wishing that we were Georgia. It's pathetic.

Pick a year where Kirby or Pruitt was our DC and I'll show you a game where our defense gave up a ton of yards and points.

Let’s see what that Georgia defense does against a team that plays tempo and can stress a defense. We saw it twice last year and Georgia was blown out both times.

I’m not getting into a back and forth. With that said, they played their butts off for a half; we lost our poise after that. Stuff like that’ll happen when you’re blowing someone out. Reread my post; no one here, including me wants to be Georgia. Under Pruitt and Smart we did have a few games where we had some points put on us, but that did not happen regularly, as it happens weekly with Golding. We’re Alabama. We should have a D that others are afraid to get on the field with, and is hard as the devil to score on, no less.

I'm still withholding judgment on Golding. Not yet sold, but certainly persuadable.

While UGA looks like they have the best defense in the country, and they very well may have, the best offense they’ve faced is Arky at #54; UAB is #86, South Carolina is at #114, Clemson is #116, and Vandy is #119. In retrospect, we’ve played the #3 offense (Ole Miss) and the #10 (Florida)…

By the eye test, UGA has the best defense I’ve seen this year, I would even say elite…but I still want to see how they do against a good fastball style offense…

It was one good game versus several bad ones. Gonna take more than that to change my mind about him. Do that for the rest of this season and we’ll talk.
