If it's a spot up, I think Shack has been super clutch this season as well. He's had a couple of terrible games this year, but even if he's been cold the whole game he seems to always hit late in the game when we need it.

Our 4 game offensive slump is directly related to the shooting of the threesome of Quinerly, Shackelford, and Ellis.
In the 9 games through the Houston game, the trio combined to shoot 38% from 3 (63/166) and score 45.4 points per game.
In the 4 games since (Memphis, JSU, Davidson, Tennessee), the trio has combined to shoot 28.4% from 3 (25/88) and score 39.25 points per game.
On offense, as they go, we go.

Because for years, buying top tier basketball season tickets has been a way to accumulate lots of Tide Pride points, which gives you priority for football. So far too many court-side seats belong to rich FOGs who don't give a damn about basketball, but pay for it anyway to boost the football status.
It has always been a problem, but I think Avery Johnson was the first to call them out on it, publicly. Until we get the students surrounding the lower bowl, we will always have a subpar atmosphere.
Fair points but AU game was much louder than our game last night and it was not close. Cant use the student excuse because their students were gone as well. WHy is this?

none of the SEC road teams won last night.
I'd say getting out of the first 4 at 3-1 would be pretty solid.

Their arena has seats going up where no matter where you are, you feel like you’re right on top of the court and noise is trapped in. Coleman on the other hand is built out where not a single seat gives you that feeling so it’s hard to create any sort of atmosphere.

the atmosphere in Coleman moving forward this year will not be an issue.

Coleman and BDS are both poorly constructed to hold in noise. Both stands go out away from the action.
Byrne and Oats need to make environment/noise the #1 priority in this new arena.

We had more students and fans at the game than they did. Their Arena is just 10x better designed than ours.

Who were the Tide Pride members that gave their tickets to those 2 Tennessee fans?? They should be ashamed
They should have their seats taken or at least given a damn warning

For about 4 minutes then Tennessee would be in the bonus, and Rojas would be on the bench with 4 fouls!
Well, true, but he would leave his mark. No joke, though, we need somebody strong enough to put a body on a bigger inside guy, so Bediako or Gurley can maybe block more shots. They just get backed down now.

Been mostly out of pocket and without TV for the past few days. How'd we look last night? I saw on the box score that Gurley finally showed up.

The NET and kenpom numbers cannot be legit. In Net, Gonzaga is 4th, in kenpom 2nd, but in NET they have tne same quad 1 record we have at 3/2, but they have zero quad 2 and 3 games and are 8/0 in quad 4, the worst teams in the country. In ken pom, they have the 298th strength of schedule to our 16th ranked sos, but in NET we are ranked 23rd and in ken pom 16th. There is no way you can tell me this is legitimate math. Hell, we beat them in Seattle! Is there some secret calculation like tv audience these guys factor in to keep the teams ESPN wants to be good ranked high? I doubt that, but you can always bend statistics to say what you want.

See Cameron. It's tiny but it's one of the most hostile environments in college sports because everyone is right on top of the court and the roof is so low there is no where for the noise to escape to.

I'd love to see percentages for those 3 guys shooting 3s in rhythm vs pull up 3s.

i did not watch the game as I am under the weather but this would seem obvious. When your offense is predicated on having a high percentage of 3's dropping then you are going to have games that you are going to have to win ugly. With good D, rebounding and limit the TO's

People are also way underestimating the fact that we have thousands of our most rabid fans in Dallas right now because we play in the CFP semis tomorrow afternoon. No so much a problem for Auburn.
