Watch, University will cave...and Miller will be suspended...and hasn't been charged and has fully cooperated...story and facts back everything up...but they will cave to the onslaught
That would be pathetic on their part.

Auburn fans still have a space going on twitter about Brandon Miller at 1 am with over 100 people in if. Its gonna be rough for them when he plays tomorrow night.

quote:What a stupid and thoughtless statement. He was not involved in a murder hardly any more than someone who was in the general area. He had no idea what Miles was going to do with his legally owned and carried gun. Miles asked for it and he brought it to him. It was in the car where Miles had left it.
Whats embarrassing is being involved in a murder.
Miles was his older teammate and friend who had never been in trouble with the law, even for jaywalking, by all accounts a great and fun guy, he has a military Dad and his mom is a police woman. While being away from the action, this friend called Brandon and asked him to bring his gun that he had left in his car. So, he did. That is no crime nor is it morally or ethically wrong.
After the tragedy, Miles and Harris lied to LE, Miller contradicted their lies and according to LE his account lined up exactly with other eye-witnesses and the forensic evidence collected. Miller and Bradley were both FULLY cooperative and COMPLETELY honest. What more could they do?
In retrospect, it's easy to say he should not have brought Miles' gun to him because someone was killed with it but careful consideration of the currently known facts makes it clear that not only was Miller innocent of any kind of crime, misdemeanor or felony, his overall behavior was commendable for the most part.
Some in the media are lazy and ignorant, some are malicious and others are gutless, not being willing to buck the trend of a current narrative, even if they know that narrative is wrong. There are probably a few, as well as opposition fans, who are snickering about this little whirlwind to which Bama is being subjected, caring nothing about the tragedy or truth. No wonder only 24% of the US population has a favorable view of the media. This is just another example why they are regarded as lower than used car salesmen - they deserve it.
Many in the media owe Brandon Miller an apology.
I don't carry a gun nor have I ever even owned one but it is legal to do both and I have respected the freedom that many exercise before this tragedy ever happened.
No they weren't involved in a murder according to LE and any reasonable thinking person without an agenda.

The lifelong Bama basketball fan in me knows this is where it all comes crashing down. Miller and Bradley done for the year, loss at TAMU to lose the sec title, one and done in Nashville, win round 1 game in the NCAA tourney then get our asses handed to us by a red hot #8 seeded Rutgers/Penn State/Hofstra.

Even if we lost Miller we could still make a Final 4 run. The team is that deep and good. He makes us National Title favorite good tho.
But nothing will happen because he is just a witness

This is the reality.
They are trying to destroy this young man's life for personal gain or entertainment. It's pathetic.

I used to blame the media, and I still do, but I've come to think that it's the people consuming that media that are REALLY to blame. The average person's reading and reasoning abilities are on about a 5th grade level, and that isn't hyperbole. We're only grabbed by sensationalist nonsense because our ability to interpret and understand nuance is nonexistent. Nobody wants to think for more than 3 seconds and we all have to be spoon fed. The results are we're spoon fed junk food that tastes good and we quickly spit out any vegetables like the babies we are.
People only support garbage media, so that's what is produced.

This is pretty much true. Add to the fact that no one wants to sit down and spend an hour doing something like read a book or article or even listen to a symphonic performance. We want to get the headline and move on.

Not condemning Miller but if someone asked you to bring a pistol to them at 1 o'clock in the morning, on the strip, would you not ask questions or better yet DECLINE to do so??
Granted, he made a bad decision in doing so. I just hope he wasn't in the car or around them during the shooting.

Miller is an idiot for sure. People just don't use common sense at all these days. Not saying what he did is a crime... It's just not smart.
Everyone knows nothing good happens after midnight

It was in his backseat to which Miles went to get the gun. We don't even know for sure that he knew it was in his car.
It's not like he went up to an argument and gave Miles or his friend a gun.

If my friend told me he was in danger when I was 19 or 20 years old in college I would have brought him his weapon.
I don't know the situation and the last thing I would want is feeling guilt that I didn't help him and something bad happened.
It was literally a bad situation Miller was forced into. He has no fault here. It wasn't like it was his gun, he handed it to the shooter or he instructed any of this.

It's a tragic situation.
However, Miller did not break the law.
He returned the gun to the guy that owns it.
He should and will play tonight.

All of this is true.
My first comment on this was how it was a non-story by people trying for personal gain or fans looking to tear down our program for their own entertainment.
I said we shouldn't even be discussing this trash to give it life.
Yet here I am, discussing it and doing what I said we shouldn't be doing.

Word of advice to Bama fans reading this thread who are tempted to go on the Rant and discuss this with other fans. Don’t. They are not interested in honest discussion of facts or actually trying to understand the law. They do not care about the woman who was killed. They do not care about “justice”. They simply want to see Oats and Miller et al burn because … they hate Alabama. That’s it. Trying to discuss this with them is pointless and just feeds the fire.
Of course we have some idiot Bama fans who just want to troll anyway that are literally starting threads on the Rant saying things like … “I slept really good last night knowing Miller will play basketball tonight” just begging for the trolls to respond.

I think the texts Miles sent him said, in today's kid lingo, that he needed his gun because they were being threatened.
The police have had those texts, and they say there's nothing with which to charge Miller. So, this is much ado about nothing. Just media frenzy for clicks, and trolls on these boards.

Gotta let those little frickers get mad over there. They are such whiny count.
Miles and the shooter will probably get life sentences. I got a feeling that Miller was trying to be a friend instead of using his head and assessing the situation. The police would have arrested him if they felt he was involved. Intentionally.

Yep, 100%.

May be a good time to remind everyone that the Tuscaloosa County DA is a diehard Auburn fan and a Republican.
