However, most of your post history comes off pretty cynical and seems to have a negative slant.

This is true but I'm more old school so if my coaches weren't getting on me about the details it meant they didn't care.

If you care you speak up. When you don't it means you've lost your position, you're getting released, etc.

I have also seen the ugly of a lot. That life exposed much negative to me so I look at people and situations pessimistic instead of optimistic as you stated. Not agenda on my part it's just what life kind of made me lol.

I appreciate a more understanding conversation. Thanks for taking that time.

It’s going to be very annoying tomorrow if Holt’s shot put form gets lucky and throws a couple in from deep.

Hopefully his Coleman Coliseum shooting percentage stays about the same.

Everyone of us would've taken a split between @Aub and @Tenn. We got that. Moving on...

Exactly. Auburn was the one I most wanted to win out of the two too.

Very difficult to go undefeated. But Never settle, frick that. Have the attitude to go scorched earth on every team.

Alex Tchikou is having a decent year for Rhode Island but he hasn't made, or even shot a three yet all season. Were all those highlight videos of him draining all those threes photoshopped or what? Deepfake technology perhaps?

Note the date and time. Tide Hoops fans were livid 2 days before being listed as the #1 overall seed by the committee

It's fine to want to win every game. It's not fine to freak out and start trashing the players and coaching staff over their 4th loss in 26 games against one of the toughest schedules in the country. We are having a great season, are well on our way to securing a 1 seed, and you'd think we were fricking 16-10 on the outside looking in based on the reactions of many of our resident morons.

But I'm curious how many teams went undefeated going into the tournament, just to end up getting upset. Probably a lot.

I can only think of two teams thats happened to on the last 15 years, 2015 Kentucky and 2021 Gonzaga, I might be missing someone I didn’t look it up. It doesn't happen a lot. Its rare that a team makes it into the NCAAT undefeated.

Id say most NCAAT champions average 4 or 5 losses. Some teams have won it with 8+ losses.

Kansas won it last year with 6 losses and some of them were by a lot, lost by over 20 at home to Kentucky in the sec/big12 challenge.

Multiple champions over the last 20 years have lost by more than 20 in the regular season. shite happens in basketball.

Honestly, that was the game we could lose and not have any effect on our chances at a #1 seed. It meant nothing for us.

Also, may be weird but I kind of wanted us to feel some adversaries before the tournament run. If we just won straight up, I would be scared we'd lose early there because of overconfidence.

UNC made the NC game last year and lost 5 or 6 games by more than 20. Pretty sure they lost one or two by more than 30. They were a weird team in general though, just got super hot at the right time Similar to UCLA two years ago who made the final 4 after winning the play in game.

Yep, I seem to recall us questioning their (very high) pre-season ranking this year, as if the pollsters were basing it solely on the tournament and forgot all about their regular season performance.

Recency bias, I guess.

Good point. Also, the longer the winning streak the more the pressure builds.

But
"that was the game we could lose and not have any effect on our chances at a #1 seed. It meant nothing for us."

I have to disagree here. The #1 overall seed has an easier run to the title. For ex. if things go as expected, in the elite 8 The # 1 overall will play the # 8 overall while the #4 overall will play #5.

CAN WE BELIEVE AT THIS POINT OF THE SEASON WE'RE SERIOUSLY HAVING THIS CONVERSATION ABOUT ALABAMA BASKETBALL?

ROLLLL TIDE!!!!!!

Losing to tennessee away from home shouldn't remove us from being #1 overall.

Houston's schedule is pretty bad and we beat them at their house. Purdue has had a mini meltdown.

I think if we win all the games we're suppose to regardless of the tournament we're #1.

Happened to Kansas just last year. Kentucky absolutely smoked them...then Kansas goes on to win a Natty and UK loses to a 15 seed first round.
