Never underestimate the power of the media and polling, and if we come out and flop against MSU after not playing well lately, it's possible. Byrne is on the committee but he has to recuse himself when discussing Alabama.

Just want us to play well enough in the SEC tournament so they don't have an excuse to move us to a #2 seed.

Historically, conference tournament performance has shown little effect on the top few seeds' placements.
Considering the committee has to take into consideration matchups, chiefly not wanting to pair conference opponents in the first 2 rounds, and also OOC game rematch early on, to move a 1 seed to a 2 seed, etc. creates a cascading effect whereas the committee will have to redo potentially the entire bracket.
My guess is that they are mostly set right now, just awaiting a few shuffles due to some AQ surprises.

I've done the exact same thing in other posts. That's why I knew you'd made the same mistake.

We need to start referring to them as Jeff Goodman and Flaming Bag Of Dog shite Goodman to clear up any possible confusion.

Yeah, I was prepared for him to get screwed out of at least player of the year, if not both. Hopefully this is a sign that, while they'll never apologize, the media has collectively realized they jumped to a lot of horrible conclusions based on a set of very incomplete facts.

I was wondering who he shared it with. I almost expected it to be Ricky Council, since he has come off the bench in a lot of games.

Awesome. Glad all of these players got recognition for their accomplishments this year.

Easily the best freshman class ever at Alabama (historians correct me if I'm wrong).

And REALLY happy for JQ coming back from the injury, being a key part of Alabama's success (and success to come) and winning 6th man of the year.

There may be a group that I'm forgetting but I think you're right.

Hopefully this team can make a nice run in the tournament. Would hate to see this collective group of talent end their season on a bad note.

What a freaking stacked team. We may not win it all, but this team quite easily has the most upside of any team we've ever had.
