We're shooting 20.7%, 2-19 or 10.5% from 3, have 10 turnovers, scored point 22 points in the half... And we're only down by 10. I'm definitely not predicting another comeback. But the fact that it's not already over is crazy.

A&M isn’t a great offensive team. I’d be surprised if they have a lot of blowouts.

Criticism is fine but a constant gripe and whine gets old.
I hate being in a constantly griping crowd in person watching a game. The same kind of message board is not as bad but it’s not fun.

As long as we win I don't care.

I think instead of a halftime speech I would have just said everyone stay and shoot 3's during the halftime break.

No one can convince me that Bama isn’t feeling the pressure from the Miller situation.
Sears and Clowney were playing AllSEC if not AA level basketball before the Miller stuff hit and now they are a shell of their previous output.
Griffin, Bradley and Burnett are all right in the same situation. I guess Oats is hoping Griffin shoots his way out of it but right now he’s shooting Bama right out of the game.
The outside shooting issue is all mental and it’s clearly not going away. One or two games is an anomaly, this is looking like a new baseline for the team after seeing it against SC, Ark, AU and A&M from the same players.
I think it’s time to adjust expectations moving forward until the shooting is reestablished as a team competency because without that the offense doesn’t really function.

We aren't dead legged...
Different basketball we are playing with but our shooters aren't focusing enough.

Clowney just stays on the perimeter too much that's all but I will say this...his three point shot did look extremely good when he shot it.
I think Dom Welch is on the verge of taking minutes if they let him play more.

Don't think they really care about this game today.

My only concern about our 3 point shooting is Oat’s comment on load management. 3 pt shooting is mainly 3 things: confidence, form, and being fresh (with the last 2 usually being connected).
The problem is Oats has said repeatedly that if guys aren’t shooting well, they need to work harder and get in the gym more. That works if the problem is confidence, or just form that is not related to being tired, but it is counter productive if the reason they are missing is fatigue (mental or physical). I’ve not heard him speak nearly enough about trying to keep the guys fresh recently.
We need the 5 days off really bad. I expect us to come out fresh next Friday, but I’m concerned our fatigue has bled into confidence issues which becomes a catch 22 on how you fix it. Hopefully we will shoot our way out of it next week.
If not, our hard work has given us a bit of a warm up game to start the NCAA that will hopefully be a “confidence builder” to get going after plenty of rest.

Nessler has aged 20 years since he started calling SEC games for CBS.

Stop being an a-hole in here, please. You don't do what you want in this thread. You either talk basketball or you move to another thread.
