We may not have the fastest group of RBs, but we have the group that is hardest to tackle. We are gonna beat teams up like when we had Mark, Trent, and Eddie.

Call me crazy but I think that Richard Young is the best of the top three in the rotation. He looked great at A Day. Fast, physical and freakishly talented. Justice Haynes was gaining chunk yards against Michigan until Seth had other plans. Jam is a fast and physical runner. Plus he showed that he’s a capable receiver against UGA on the biggest stage.

I will call you crazy. Justice Haynes is a stud and showed it in the Michigan game. Why he was not playing before that is beyond me. (i know, blocking assignments)

So now we’re going to see Yella Wood logos at Jerdun Hair Stadium field and Wal Mart logos at Arkansas? College football officially sucks.
I wouldn’t be opposed to logos on the field for a good cause. St.Jude Hospital or John Croyle Big Oak Ranch. Anything along that line.

Dreamland and DePalmas between the 30s.

You'll get Aaron's Rent to Own, and you'll like it.

Logo's would be to charge a fee. You just named charities who are not going to pay. All about the green. Got to raise money to pay the legal settlement. You need to keep up with the program.

I know that. Your missing the point I was making I guess

I think all three are as good or better than what we had running for us last year, but if we have someone better than Justice Haynes and the OL gels other teams are in huge trouble.
It was like a lightning strike when Haynes went into the Rose Bowl last year and UM really had trouble adjusting their angles after dealing with our other slower backs early on.
To me it was the RB equivalent of seeing Tua go in against UGA at halftime and it easily could’ve been the difference between losing and winning a NC if it weren’t for whatever happened at C.
I have to admit I was pissed watching him though because we wasted a year of a future NFL guy behind two guys who worked hard, but certainly weren’t close to what we were used to seeing at RB under Saban. If you want an example of playing seniority games that’s a tough example to refute IMO.

Agree with this^^^. CNS was the GOAT and it's hard to argue with his methods but to me, the ferocious loyalty to senior starters, even when a younger player was clearly better was mystifying.

I don’t disagree. DeBoer seems to be more open minded. I’m sure that he’s pinching himself every day knowing the kind of talent that he has to work with. The problem with Roydell and Jase was that both of them had lost a step because of their knee injuries. I have all of the respect in the world for those guys but our current running backs are simply better prospects. The player that I’m looking forward to seeing play is Kendrick Law.

Exactly,
You want the biggest payout, better on the field than on the jersey, or the stadium, although I imagine that’s not far off. That Benz emblem would look just fine out there, they are right down the road after all.

Love them. They were warriors and did everything right.
Production wise they weren’t even replacement level SEC backs. We were bottom half in the SEC last year with two starter caliber guys sitting at 3 & 4 on the depth chart.
And don’t tell me about Jase pass blocking, he wasn’t some FB level pass pro guy back there consistently although I fully grant he had moments where he would pop someone.

Jase definitely wasn’t overly impressive because he had a lot of injuries. But Roydell stepped up and made some plays late in the season last year against LSU, Auburn and UGA. The way he and Jam Miller stepped up against UGA in Atlanta was commendable. But we need more explosive plays in the running game. Our line up this year should provide more of it.

Wasn’t he our only offense against USF?

I don’t know. I’ve tried to forget all about that game.
