If Grubb had the Raiders in Tecmo Bowl, he would have thrown the ball instead of running Bo Jackson.

It gets infuriating watching Heupel scheme up a lot of easy good stuff for Faizon Brandon and then watch how Grubb does nothing to help Keelon

Getting cute on 2nd and 1 and almost throwing a pick is maddening, he’s too pass happy and belongs more in the NFL

Bingo

The UK turnovers are what changed the game. Not Grubb doing a better job of calling plays.

The guy is way overrated.

Dave Radar is in politics, so he is out.

If we fans see it. And his previous boss at the Seahawks saw it then you'd think the CKD would realize it too.
Why wait until next season. Relegate his role as OC and have someone else take over play calling.
This comes down to the CEO of the program, the head coach. And this far he is loyal to a fault with very little to none with making changes or adapting on the fly. (eg. His lack of halftime "adjustments" in game show he is not a good with changing things up in general)

Absolutely. We made no halftime adjustments Saturday. Played exactly the same in the second half as we did in the first. No difference at all.

Daniel Hill would not start for any other team in the SEC. That is part of the problem. The two young backs are a bigger threat to making things happen but are still learning how to pick up blitzs and such.

Not impressed with Hill at all.. .. looks very slow.

I don't like his offense. Bunch of razzle dazzle shifts and movement to throw off the other team. That is a mark of a finesse team! I think we will be in a coaching change in the next 2-3 yrs. Deboer will continue to win 9-10 games but will lose 3-4 each year.

Big body backs look slow, but he clearly outran pursuit for a TD. Henry looked slow, but wasn't

Everybody remember he was fired by the Seahawks as their OC. They won the superbowl the next year!

Why do we let idiots post here? Go watch the 2020 team, arguably the best college offense to ever take the field, and see what Sark was doing pre-snap.

That’s what DeBoer stressed postgame. Stuff was open in the first half. We just weren’t executing.

This is another thing that bothers me about Grubb. He is going to do what he’s going to do whether Tom Brady is his quarterback or a sophomore from Smiths Station High School is his quarterback, and by God it’s up to the quarterback to handle it.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect Keelon to be able to run the full package at the end of November. I think it’s a tough ask in early September.

I get the criticism for Grubb. I really do. There were several instances where he made head scratching calls.
The pick 6 wasn't one of them for me. He called a screen pass. The DE just made a great play.
We just scored 45+ points in each of our first 2 games for the second time in history (think I heard that stat).
I'm not sure what it will take to make some of you happy.

The NFL fired him.

Do you really think he was going to say the problem was the OC's playcalling? The easiest out for a coach is "the players just didn't execute". No doubt "stuff was open" but when it takes 15 yards of running by the WR to come open the quarterback is running for his life at that point. How about call shorter, higher percentage pass plays before rolling out the long developing plays that require more things that have to go right?

I don’t want to fire him. I don’t want to cramp his style that badly. There are some people here who will never be satisfied until we’re running the tailback 45 times a game and those days are gone and never coming back.

I would like for him to become more situationally aware and more understanding of the fact that he’s got a rookie … a ginormously talented rookie but still a rookie … at the controls.

IMO, he is Bill O’Brien 2.0! Just like BoB asked so much out of Bryce, Grubb is doing the same with KR. Problem is, KR has 4 new OL in front of him.
