Well Saban needs to do what he did in years past and start campaigning for this.

Man I miss Saban having a fire in him.

He can campaign all he wants, but this committee has already shown they value 1 loss over 2 losses regardless of the scenario. OSU got donkey punched at home without UM’s best player and was ranked above us. TCU has a better overall resume than OSU.

Don’t think this is a hard concept, and I hate it’s worked out this way, but it is what it is. We shouldn’t have choked the TN and LSU games.

It doesn’t make you a Bad Bammer if you acknowledge we don’t deserve the playoffs this year. Some of y’all are favoring the crimson glasses over logic.

Are we one of the four best teams? We never played like it.

People mean well and they want the best for Alabama. Thats cool. Many people think it would look good to be in the playoffs. In reality, we couldn't stop a non-bowl worthy auburn team from racking up 300 rushing yards when we knew thats about all they could do. And it took the DC an entire quarter to figure out thats all they were gonna do. Besides that, the coaching staff has already went into limbo as it seems there is going to be new coordinators. As I have said, we need to just get an easy bowl win and reboot the coaching staff. Going for a NC this year is not in the cards. The coaches certainly wouldn't be focused in like they would need to be. And even at their best were pretty bad. Thats why we have a "fire Golding" thread pinned to the top of the board.

People need to stop holding this Bama team to the standards of years past when talking about the top 4 teams. This year stands on its own. And have you watched the other teams in the top 6 play? TCU struggled all year long in an inferior conference. OSU got taken to the wood shed. And for those saying Clemson will jump us with a win tonight, have you seen DJ play QB or their offensive playing calling? 28% completion percentage is pathetic. The only team playing like they are a Bama team of the past is UGA. And last year they crushed the same Michigan team that will make the playoffs this year.

So no we aren't as good as years past. But we could beat 3 of the teams that will be in the playoffs.

We couldn't beat 2 teams that aren't going to sniff the playoffs. And could have lost to 2 more who are even further from making the playoffs

Exactly. Georgia blasted both teams we lost to. Honestly this would be a perfect year for the BCS.

Instead of Saban calling around trying to get us in the playoffs, I hope he is spending his time trying to find new coordinators. Time better spent.

If Hooker doesn’t get injured there’s a good chance they’re in the playoffs though. LSU’s QB is dinged up to.

Injuries are part of the game but to pretend this isn’t context to be considered seems disingenuous

As chaotic as this season has been is another factor I believe works in our favor. TCU ain't it.

I feel like trolling the SEC rant making the claim that the SEC should have a committee to select the SECCG participants, for LSU didn't have a chance.

Honestly we could have just skipped the SECCG this year. The west could have mailed in a letter stating a 'non-compete" clause. And Bama and LSU could have played again to see who wins the west. It would have been more entertaining.

It’s pretty funny seeing these kids complaining that two losses is the kiss of death became team X only lost one.

Vegas is the great arbiter. They literally could not care less who wins, it’s about the odds they think of who will beat whom.

Vegas misses, but they miss less than everyone else. If you ask Vegas who the best teams are, Bama will be no worse than 3rd.

Agreed. I am content with the Sugar and hopefully 11-2. NY6 still means something to me, at least. I feel we'd have more growth and learning from that than anything else

The sunshine pumpers who accused us of being spoiled and dissatisfied with winning are the same ones saying they'll be disappointed with anything but the CFP. Strange year for sure

Some of you can bad mouth this team all you want and some of it is warranted. But I will give you a fact, I can’t prove it but it’s a fact. In no way shape or form could that Michigan team have walked into BDS last Saturday and beaten us by 22 points. Absolutely no chance that would happen.

would certainly make the OSU loss to UM worse. Might help us bigly since Purdue is 8-4
