I don’t expect Bama to be selected, but if the committee members had to pick TCU or Bama to save their lives by beating UGA or Michigan, I bet they would take Bama.

One thing people don’t understand is Bama wears a target that frickin’ TCU doesn’t. No one storms the field after beating TCU.

If I’m being honest do I think Bama is better than TCU yes but because of who Bama lost to and the fact that it is an easy opportunity to put a big 12 team in when Alabama is obviously not heads and shoulders better than TCU based on resume

You could play that game with any of the top teams. Just a game or two ago, TCU and Michigan almost lost to crappy teams with last second made fgs

The CFP Is Supposed to Feature 'The Four Best Teams,' But Will It? (SI)

The College Football Playoff Section Committee will announce this year's semifinals, which are sure to be controversial, and bowl pairings on Sunday.

Every person on this ESPN lead in show is saying Alabama no chance and doesn’t deserve it. I don’t see the committee going against the overwhelming popular opinion. Just easier to put 1 loss TCU and Ohio State in. All the talk going on and they will just say 1 loss is better than 2 in the end

For people that hate college football playoffs and/or expanded playoffs, this season must be enough for you to want to stop watching all together. As for me, I love it and its clear we need it bigger now.

It’ll be like Cincinnati, the record alone allows them to be there, forget strength of schedule and signature wins. The media will celebrate them as the underdog, they’ll get blown out and that will be the end of it.

BCS would’ve been perfect. Georgia and Michigan are the only two teams that deserve to be in a title game.

I'm talking purely in theory, but what if they allowed Saban on national TV in 2 different championship games and knowing they were not pick his team anyway. All this just to:
1. Feed ratings and interest in the playoff selection.
2. Show why the expansion was needed to include more teams.
3. Feed the hate/fatigue of people of Bama/Saban.
4. Show the GOAT Saban basically gravel for a playoff shot.

It's going to be the same story but it'll be a discussion of which of the eleven 9-3 teams is best

"Do the best 4 teams lose to LSU?
Do the best 4 teams drop easy passes that can seal road wins? Miss FGs? Can't force OT?"

All that being said, we would curb stomp either MI or OSU

Michigan would run it down the throat of the Bama defense.

That is not the matchup you want this year. That is the matchup Bama's pre-2018 defenses wanted.

All the BS talk before we get the reveal. I could have swore in 17 they were leaving us out and we were in. I think it’s TCU but I’d love to be surprised.

There’s a chance bro. Seems our only shot is jumping tcu but realistically we should be ahead of OSU but they’ve already left us out it seems. We really needed the Purdue walkons to also win unfortunately.

I literally can't stand Rece Davis.

This guy is always slanting negative toward Alabama.

I mean this idiot just admitted that Alabama would be favored against every team except Georgia (so they are one of the best four).

However we shouldn't be allowed because we don't get to play OSU and Penn State all season.

If anything he should be highlighting how hard it is for SEC teams versus others and how incredibly bias it would be for teams who don't even play that much competition to slide in just because.

These same idiots were crying about SEC getting two teams in. Yet not one word about the B1G getting two in, one of which lost by 22 at home to the other

I think TCU should be in, and Overrated State out.

You get run off the field in your own stadium you don’t belong IMO

And as expected. Hate it but figured it was the case.

Let the changes begin.
