Did I say Milroe performed well? Hard to respond to someone with such poor reading comprehension.
If he doesnt fumble those away, Bama probably wins by double digits. Search my post history, I’m no Milroe apologist.

You say this…

…and then you say this?

This doesn’t even make the top 10 of worst QB performances in Alabama history. Yes, his fumbles were terrible, cost us 14 points…taking a sack in the 4th when he could’ve easily thrown it away cost us another 3, so that’s 17 total…his INT on 3rd and long didn’t bother me so much as it was as good as a punt. But he also threw 3 TD passes and extended some drives with his feet; so no, it was not some of the worst QB’ing ever and I’ve been watching Bama play since ‘68. And any high school QB outta the stands inserted into the game would’ve soiled himself…

Right now, Milroe is a one-read QB that, if that read’s not there, shuffles his feet and bails to his right. If his passing skills can be developed, in particular to go thru his progressions/make reads and put some touch on the ball, he has the potential to be very good. But at this point in time, I don’t see us winning against Tennessee, nor even sniffing the playoffs, if Bryce Young is out for an extended time…

The Bama fanbase is doing what Bama fanbases always do; showing how much we've been spoiled by success.
We expect to cruise in every game, and when the team has a bad game we are angry and over critical.

It's fear. Most anger is rooted in fear. In Bama fan's case, it's fear of mediocrity.

Exactly! And Saban had to call, out the fanbase last year because he's already sick of the whining. So before long, he'll retire and when we go back to winning 8-9 games a year if we're lucky, because no one is going to want to be the first to replace him, then people will be whining they wish Saban had stuck around longer and they'll act like they don't know why he retired early. Kiffin is way too immature to take over this program. And OU is showing how quickly everything can go downhill, even in the Big 12.

It doesn’t matter if the score was 41-14, there would still be some asking for Simpson and ready to fire Golding. It’s a message board, let ‘em vent.

Agree. Jalen has some features that BoB needs to incorporate. Saban may get him some help from one of our off field managers...or something.

Saban also has to let his backups run more of the offense in blowouts. We saw it with Mac and we saw it with Milroe. I feel if they had a little more game time to establish a rhythm things wouldn’t be so fast. I do find it amazing that both Mac against Auburn in 2019 and Jalen from Saturday night how a small portion of our fanbase wrote them off. It’s beautiful to see Mac silence the haters. I’m hopeful Milroe will do the same. The same group also bashed jalen hurts and now he’s the only undefeated qb in the NFL. These are young STUDENT athletes who are playing their absolute hearts out giving it their all. Some people need to remember football is still entertainment and not run your blood pressure up over it. Anyways Roll tide.

It’s amazing to me that a program that has had an almost peerless history of success has fans that are such wimps and wussies.
Ready to tear down the team, coaches and it’s players at the first sign of adversity. Some have already lost to 10rC in their minds.
A team we have beaten 15 years in a row and considered our filthiest rival.
Reading such nonsense on the tRant is one thing but on an Alabama board?

I'm sorry (not really), but he played horribly. Now does he deserve to be treated poorly? Absolutely not. I am rooting for Milroe. That said, I'm not sugar coating what happened against Texas A&M.

There are several posters on this board that are absolutely terrified of losing, or playing a good team that can keep up with us. TERRIFIED. And then they project that fear onto here by constantly whining about the players and coaches.

I agree. Just wondering if they’re like this—- how do they react to adverse situations in real life?

I almost don’t even want to go into the game forum … knowing all the comments coming after a bad play. I know BoB and Pete will always get blamed. That’s a fact. Sometimes we can’t concede that other teams also have good coaches and players….

Sad. Because I love the comraderie of all the Bama fans

I not disagreeing with you, but I suppose every fan base gets pissed off when their team plays like shite and especially the QB.

This was Milroe’s opportunity to shine and he didn’t. He wasn’t expected to put the team on his shoulders and win the game, but he can’t turn the ball over like he did and expect the stay the backup. There’s talent behind him and talent coming in next yr. And we all know that Saban evaluates a QB in this exact situation.

Milroe’s has talent, but if he can’t play cool and calm, if he can’t make the reads then his days are numbered as a QB at Bama. I think we all want him to turn that corner and be successful. But right now there’s a lot of doubt.

This should be every sane Bama fan's stand.

And for those that think our fanbase is bad, I welcome each one of you to oeruse the LSU Scoreboard board during any one of LSU games. Any game. There will be 3 bitching threads minimum started for each and every 3 and out they have.

It is possible to have all of these feelings/thoughts without raging and acting like an adult toddler, and lashing out (not talking about you specifically hwyman, just in general.)

The complaints in this thread are valid but this could be a very funny thread to look back at one day

I don’t feel great if Milroe starts next week but we shouldn’t bury the guy. That Aggie defense has made some pretty decent quarterbacks uncomfortable

The mythos of Simpson is strange. He is just as likely to be Blake Barnett or David Cornwell as he is Mac Jones

You are right. I feel it’s unfair to proclaim that Ty would be so much better at the moment. He’s a true freshman and putting him in now could hurt his confidence. Saban has been coaching a long time so I trust his decision over some of these posters.

Exactly. Was I aggravated Saturday with the turnovers? Your damn right I was, but anybody that's burying Milroe as a bust needs to stop. Yea he almost lost us that game with the turnovers, but he was also responsible for 3 TD's. So without those we lose that game. Really if Will doesn't miss those 2 field goals, half of these comments wouldn't have been made. Why hasn't anybody blamed Will for almost losing us the game also?

And if LSU doesn’t drop 2-3 passes that should have been intercepted, would that change your mind? Milroe may have thrown the 3 TDs but he wasn’t alone in doing so. He didn’t make a fantastic pass under heavy pressure or do anything spectacular on any of the passes.

Will has been the best kicker that we’ve had in 10 years and I’ll give him one bad game.
