re: Where is the SummerOfGeorge analytics breakdown for this weekend?

I literally just posted this in the football mega thread

Speaking of SoG, I know it's still early in the season but I was looking to see if he had been posting his model any yet. I'm always curious what his says about the match up but I also know it probably needs a few more games before it really starts to get accurate

Blowing up 4-5 3rd and shorts against UGA said the most to me. Georgia converts at least 75% of those if Golding was still the DC.
Exactly! That and the fact that every player that struggled here is balling out in the NFL should tell you all you need to know. It wasn't the lack of players, it was the scheme. If I never see 1 D-lineman and 6 LBs again it'll be too soon. We attacked the ball this year for the first time since Pruitt left

Stats may say a different story but there wasn't one crucial stop in the worst time of the game that I was confident we could get as a defense under golding. That has changed, we had crucial stop after crucial stop our entire season this year

Reread my previous post

Guess I should have specified that I'm not comparing it to that game but the reason it reminds me of that Clemson game was because I was confident we would smoke Clemson. They played a weak schedule and I felt like we had the better team. Much like I feel now

I admit I'm a Homer, but I really can't see how Michigan is that impressive. It almost scares me how confident I am about this game. That and the fact that most of the betting public is betting on alabama but yet the line still isn't budging. Kinda getting 2018 Clemson vibes from this game

I really enjoyed watching Jalen Hurts come off the bench in the SEC Championship game and pull off the come back to beat Georgia. Was awesome to see

I firmly believe they did.
It's been posted quite a few times that Milroe looks at himself like a pocket passer. He doesn't want to be labeled a running QB. I am almost 100% certain it's his decision to try not to run but instead is always trying to find the open receiver. So much so to the point of getting sacked after holding the ball for 4-5 seconds. If he would just get the internal clock of knowing after 3 seconds to either tuck and run or throw it away, a ton of our issues on offense would go away. His indecisiveness kills more drives than it saves. But with more reps, more experience, he is looking better and better each week.
I also think there was a few weeks where he was injured. I know there was a rumor of a hamstring injury and after those rumors, he didn't even think about scrambling but once or twice a game. I don't think he was dealing with a hamstring because he never limped or anything like that, but I think he was dealing with some sort of injury/soreness from the beating he's taken.

What about the missed head shot Bryce took from the Tennessee dlineman? Worst case was targeting, best case roughing the passer but neither was called

I see your a very passionate fan and as a passionate Alabama fan, I can respect that. Your reasoning isn't far off base and yall are indeed on a very historic run. But I will say for you to say our evaluations have fallen off is a bit off base. Coaching fell off with the Golding catastrophe. You can see the much improved defense this year with only 1 off season of competent coaching. The players have been there, the coaching hasn't. Nearly every recruit we've signed has been a georgia/alabama battle. So Kirby thought the same players we have were good enough for his team

Yep and what's even crazier is that one sequence of events has given the georgia fan base the false narrative that Kirby Smart built Bama. If we never went down the golding experiment road, I really don't think there would be any speculation about us falling off

For someone that is so superior to Nick Saban, he damn sure struggles to beat him

Still counting those chickens before they hatch

Seems more like Kirby was a product of Nick Sabans system, not the other way around. But you do you

That's pretty bold already claiming a dynasty when things can change so quickly in college football. Look at all the teams that were supposed to dethrone alabama over the years. I'd probably wait until the eggs hatched before counting the chickens if I was a Georgia fan. Hell just a few years ago, Clemson was the new standard, we see how quickly that went to shite

Georgia is still built by BAMA whether yall like it or not

It's also worth noting before this last weekend, I can't say this with 100% certainty but I think their model had us losing pretty bad to Kentucky. I want to say it was around 37-20

Just a quick reminder but their model had us losing the Ole Miss and Texas A&M games. I think it may get more accurate once it has more data from this year to look at, but I wouldn't bet the house on their predictions. I think the USF game is causing a lot of the issues for the model being off on our offense
