After reading up on Mack for a few hours I am no longer upset. Mack looks to be a better QB than Simpson and I think if he were a senior year he would be rated as high or higher than Sayin. I'm talking myself into to saying I'd rather have Mack than Sayin. Mack has a year of KDB's offense under his belt already. I'm at peace.

Seems more likely in the light of this new day that Mack was brought in BECAUSE Sayin was leaving, not vice versa. At the very least he was strongly considering it. There's no way Mack commits last night and Sayin is in the portal at sunrise this morning otherwise.

This ^^^

We sports fans are sort of like amateur stock market investors: we think we have the latest info because we listen to “sources” on the internet.

But in most cases the actual insiders have the info days or even weeks before the “sources” share it.

That’s how members of Congress can routinely and wildly outpace the S&P 500……

DeBoer isn’t an idiot! He was probably talking to top commits and targets within 24 hours of his plane landing in Tuscaloosa. He knew this was coming before he ever called another QB.

He is from the same school as Jonah Williams and Brian Bowers.
Looks like a good prospect.
Maybe better or as good as Sayin but really hate losing Sayin. I thought he could be as good as BYoung.

We were bleeding players at WR and DB and our idiot coach went and got another QB when the QB room was already too full. ??
Where are the moderators? Are y'all going to let this fraud continue to show contempt for the Alabama Head Coach?

Come on mods - get rid of this piece of garbage, charlatan.

He’s already proving it. It disassembled the staff and now he’s doing the same to the roster. Come on guys. Open your eyes. Byrne fricked up
You are a wicked moron, a stupid clown, a deceitful fraud. How the mods allow trash like you to post, I do not understand. I assume this site wants to generate traffic at the expense of a decent board.

To the mods, whoever you are: why do you allow such vicious attacks on Alabama's HC, on an Alabama board:

Seeing as how much you defended and championed Milroe all year Inwould think you would be jumping for joy that Sayin is leaving.

Maybe you are really worried that Milroe won’t be starting this year.
This clown is not an Alabama fan. He's a pathetic fraud. There's no logic, nothing but vicious attacks on the new Coach. The piece of filth should be banned. I don't understand why the mods allow this.

Tua has said he would’ve transferred if he didn’t get in the National title game.
Another lie. But what's new? He said that he would have considered leaving. The fact is that his Dad called the shots. It would have been up to him. But continue with your lies and vicious attacks on the program and head coach. You are disgusting.

That's a interesting move, run off the top QB in the country for a 3 star.

That's a deceitful take. First of all he was a top 75 4 star, after reclassifying, i.e., coming in a year early. Secondly, CKD must run the program as he see fit. If he fails, he will be let go. Thirdly, you put WAY too much credence in recruiting rankings. They are proven wrong time and time again. CKD is the expert, not you or me. Even if the report which no one can verify is true, CKD and staff have a much better idea as to what their system needs. He may be doing Sayin a favor, if it's even true. I've watched film on Mack he is very impressive and is 6'6". Sayin is impressive too. But until they play at this level you just don't know. CKD has seen Mack play vs college players for a year.

There was NO other coach available that Bama could get to replace Saban. The closest is Kirby and he hasn’t arrived there yet and is not leaving his Alma mater to coach anywhere else.
Kirby is a good coach, though IMO overrated, and he is a better recruiter thus far but DeBoer is twice the strategist, tactician, and game-day coach that Kirby is. He's also a better offensive talent evaluator.

For those who wanted Kiffin: He's 2-19 vs ranked teams at UT, USC and OM, DeBoer is 12-2 at Fresno (2-1) and Wash (10-1), including 2-0 vs Riley, 3-0 vs Lanning and 2-0 vs Sarkisian. He had half the raw talent in those 7 games. He's been a HC for 9 full seasons, his teams have won 10+ games every year. It was rinky dink NAIA, but he won 3 NCs in 5 years at a school that had one in their history in 1996. He was 58-1 his last 4 years for a total of 69-3.

Fresno was 4-8 the year before he arrived, he went 3-3 in a Covid year and 10-3 the next year, putting his QB in the NFL. He was 11-2 and 14-1 at Wash, beating Texas/Sarkisian in both post seasons, his QB will be a top 10 pick. They were 4-8 the year before he took over.

He won a bunch of close games, maybe he's a fraud, but he won almost all of them. It's hard to be lucky that often.

Yea I think Kiffin and Sarc are excellent coordinators but basically mediocre as head coaches.
