Go look at his Red zone #'s.

He was pretty poor. We stacked our stats against bad defenses. But whenever we played teams like Baltimore or NO we were absolutely putrid on offense.

OK. Then I'm going to go look at Saban's NFL record and retroactively question why we hired him.

He was awful in Atlanta? He was awful or he wasn’t great?

Sark is a terrible play calling OC, but if he is just the QB coach I think it’s a good hire.

Good thing Alabama out talents almost everyone in the country.

But seriously, I just don’t understand the melt. We should have melted over hiring Locksley last year.

I'm more than fine with him being the QB coach. I think he'll do a good job there

Lol what? That's exactly what the NFL does. NFL hiring is actually a documentary about regurgitation. These guys walk into their new jobs drenched in stomach fluids.

Sark is not coming back here to only be the QB coach. He will be at least the Co-OC.

I'm sorry man, but this hire IS lazy. He could have done much better. He should have taken more time and gotten the right guy. This is bad for recruiting too. Can't imagine recruits are going to be excited after seeing him flop at Atlanta.

I don’t understand the melt either. I understand we have opinions, but can we agree our opinions doesn’t stack up to Saban’s or any college/NFL coach’s football assessment and decision- making acumen?

QB coach is the Co OC so it would be inherited.

Tider 95, who would you hire? You mentioned lots of coaches out there to choose from?

Off the top of my head for guys who coach a scheme compatible with our current talent and who have coached a successful college offense more recently than Sark:
Chip Long
Princeton OC Sean Gleeson
Ohio OC Tim Amblin (I know this is out of nowhere but his offense this year was really good)
Syracuse OC Mike Lynch (has been the playcaller for the last 3 seasons running successful offense with wildly different pieces)

I do understand the melt, but I think Saban deserves the benefit of the doubt. It is what it is.

Hearing Sark and Larry Fedora to be Co-OC’s with Sark also being QB coach......

His Redzone #s would be the only knock. But Matt Ryan has refused to target Julio down there before Sark got to Atlanta. I think he's an upgrade.

I didn't think Locksley would get another head coaching job because of all that allegedly went down at his job in New Mexico. And, honestly, Locksley's reputation based on strictly coaching was good but far from great. Locksley did well as OC at Illinois a terrible football school. But, Sark has a much better reputation as an OC at a high profile school and as a head coach at Washington.

Mine sure doesn't, but I still share it and act like it does
