His this week article is “Auburn Has the Pieces To Make A Run.” I have notice that al.com has taken to not linking his name to his articles.

Anyway, you’re welcome.

Thanks! I'd prefer not to click on any of his articles.

First, he doesn't pick the article's title. Second, it's not a bad article. And I think that's his first article about Auburn in over a month.

He's ok as long as he's not trying to be a hot take extraordinaire. He wrote an article a couple years ago about how Alabama would be better off without Colin Sexton. I don't really respect his opinion on basketball that much

I can't really think of any sports writers whose opinions I do care for, to be honest. I can't stomach watching any of the sports networks any time there is not a game on either though -- can't even do pregame/halftime. Anyway, I hate listening to people talk about sports on TV/Radio or reading sports articles, unless it's just interview quotes.

I love watching the games though, can't get enough obviously.

I abondoned al.com long ago but will read every now and then. I subscribed to the athletic, which I love, because they do a lot more narrative writing and in depth stuff. Lots of all-access pieces, stuff like that.

I'm not really familiar with him, but I just read the article.

Its a bad article because

1. He clearly thinks that Bo Nix is going to be one of the best QBs in cfb next season. And he might be, but nothing we've really seen so far would indicate that.

2. He acts like AU shut LSU's offense down last season, when they gave up over 500 yard of offense.

Its just kind of dishonest reporting.

Didn't see any mention of the Mac Jones lead Bama offense that shredded that (great) Auburn defense.

This guy is the biggest Auburn homer I've ever seen.

Bo Nix is a awful QB, that will not improve at all under Gus.

Reading his articles, you would think Auburn will be the preseason number 1 team next year.

He is forgets that Auburn is losing their entire OL and DL and their best player in the secondary.

Auburn will be lucky to win 8 games next year.

Al.com is just average. The opinion writers and sports guys don’t have any extra insight - you could pull a guy off the street on 5 points and his opinions would be just as relevant. That is troublesome in this day and age of opinion makers.

As for the headlines, those people are trained to produce clicks.

As a former newspaper guy myself (years ago) I miss the good ole days of Birmingham media . .

Didn't he throw 2 pick 6s?

Yeah, while praising Mac (and he deserves a lot), people somehow forget those turnovers lost Bama a game they should have won.

He did, lost Bama the game. He still shredded that supposedly great Auburn defense.

I’m really confused by some of the takes on Auburn. I get they tend to do well when they have no expectations, but few programs overcome those personnel losses on the line of scrimmage. And it would be very concerning on the offensive line where they’ve recruited very poorly.

Goodman is just AL.com's latest hot takes to sell papers guy. First it was Finebaum, then they made Scarbinsky take the role, now it's Goodman.

Getting mad about it is like getting mad at the heel in wrestling. It's literally his job.

the second was because we put a seldom used linebacker at running back and he whiffed on his block and let the auburn player have a clean shot at our QB. Too bad Najee wasnt in the game

Along with a defense that couldn't get off the field on third down, and poor place kicking, and Gus humiliating Saban on the fourth down that cost Bama a critical possession at the end of the game...

That loss was a team loss, period.

I agree with you that it was a team loss, but AU was only 5/13 on 3rd downs in that game.
