If you guys think our team plays with the same mentality as those first few teams that bought into the "process" then you're purely delusional.

Do you think any of those guys would be celebrating after plays when we're getting our arse beat by 28?

Take the Crimson colored glasses off.

gunslign mentality doesn't complete almost 69% of its passes...Tua was never humiliated! You are clearly one of those Jalen guys that kinda still hates on Tua. We can see thru your act. I bet I know who you are too.

That was this year and not next year. Uga will be better next year across the board and their OLINE could be the best in the country.

In my opinion...it is that simple.

Didn't Tua set the NCAA record for QB rating this year?

I don't even know who you are referencing, but I don't know, maybe? Let me go back and watch the Utah game and see(not.) You are using one anecdotal example to try and prove your point.

UGA defense will take a step back next year. As great as they have been recruiting, their DL recruiting has not been spectacular.

Yes. But once people had the book on Tua, that gunslinging became his undoing. If he doesn't learn to be a competitor he will never be anything more than a flashy backyard football/7-on-7 hero. He must learn to be a scrapper and a winner. Against, Ole Miss he had a healthy sense of fear. He got down early before being hit and protected the ball. He got his big plays in too. That was one of his best games in my opinion. Later on his ego did him in. His ego got him humiliated.

You're one of those old guys that always thinks the backup qb is better aren't you?

Listen here you whippersnapper, back in my day helmets were for pussies and the forward pass was seen as an act of cowardice. RUNDABAWL!

Well I’ve been as big of a Tua fan as there’s been on this board but since the State game, the word is out on Tua and the guys that make millions of dollars to do such things have a plan to stop him and it’s working. They’ve seen enough film to know his tendencies and he has helped them by getting stars in his eyes and wants to throw the highlight ball every play. So they know they can bait him into it and Tua will ignore the open guys underneath. In short, teams have adjusted to Tua. Now Tua has to adjust to them or he’s going to be just a good QB with flaws in his game. Your move, Tua.

Why do some of you guys just totally ignore that he was injured in the Arkansas game and hampered with that the rest of the year? An injury often impacts a quarterbacks entire game, not only because of mechanics involved, but the mental aspect.

Still, in spite of the nagging injury, he had a pretty good game vs LSU and 25 of 34 for 324 yards and a qb rating of 214.7 vs Auburn, which are 2 more decent defenses.

Vs UGA he suffered yet another injury early in the game, for which he had a procedure after that game.

He threw 6 interceptions the whole entire year. He set a ncaa record for quarterback rating. Not bad for a guy injured half the year. I'm really not sure what some of you expect but I am sure it isn't reasonable.

Oh yeah, and about that first interception vs Clemson, Matt Wyatt said he thinks Smith was the intended receiver but didn't run the correct route. John Doe (who Boz says is Marquiz Maze) said that Smith totally whiffed on the block of the db. In any event, both cited the fault of Smith, not Tua. But what the heck do they know.

I'm totally amazed that no one has noticed the type of hits he takes. It wasn't just bad luck that got him injured. Tua has to learn how to take a tackle or he'll be nicked up again this upcoming season.

For comparison, in all of Jalen's starts how many times did he enter the tent? 0...& I can count on one hand the number of big hits Jalen took in 2 full seasons of starting. Yea he didn't hang in and make the splash plays like tua but he was healthy, available & took his team to 2 nattys.

Knowing how to take on a tackler is a supremely underrated skill. Hopefully he improves that and the gunslinging because who knows the quality of the back-up qbs this season

Throwing the ball away and just falling down would save him a lot of grief honestly.

Jalen Hurts is a damn RB playing QB and he's very strong. But, you act like Tua is dainty as a flower. If Tua was dainty and truly injury prone he'd have sat out a game in the regular season because he was hurt enough to. And, then you ignore all the dirty hits Tua took. Jalen didn't take many dirty hits because he isn't the QB Tua is. That's just a fact.

You nailed it Shaft. There were numerous dirty hits on Tua and some of them were blatant I don’t know how ejections didn’t happen. Coach Saban even addressed the ncaa making changes to stop such bs.

They have recruited well at dL lb and dB but here’s a good depth chart breakdown. In some cases, like Bama has often, the backups are more talented which looks to be the case at Uga. Not shock Kirby is progressing Uga in a similar manner. Bama is still ahead and should have a more explosive offense again.
