All excellent points. I won't touch upon which type of offense is better and what Bama is most suited for player-wise (with Tua at the helm). I'm a fan, not an expert.
All I can say is that the first serious football I ever watched was the '92 Dallas Cowboys. Aikman spread it around to his WRs (Michael Irvin, Alvin Harper), his receiving TE (Jay Novacek), some to Emmitt Smith and even to his FB (Daryl Johnston). You never knew what was coming. I loved that offense. And that big, physical line (Tuinei, Newton, Williams, Stepnowski, Gesek/Gogan) would wear the other guys down and then you gave the ball to Emmitt. Done deal.
I would love to see Alabama play that way, but that was also decades ago. I'm just looking for a slightly more balanced attack that keeps our D a bit more off the field.
