Phillip Simms- I honestly thought he would out play AJ for the starting job. Shows how much I know about qb talent.
Alfy Hill- thought he would be our next great d lineman but transferred shortly after enrolling

He produces but its just the content and quality that is lacking

I’m waiting for his 5 paragraph melt in this thread

Isn't it almost always random spicy prevatt time?
No, I think it's pretty clear that I choose to bring out the spicy to combat when a poster has a particularly bad take, a take that's not based on sound logic or the evidence. I get particularly perturbed when the take involves insulting a player or coach. I also try to go out out of my way to make sure the spiciness is directed at the opinion, not the person. I only go after the person if their words or actions get to a particularly egregious place. Outside of that, I'm pretty chill. I also don't take a beef from one thread to another, and I don't carry my beefs with me. If a person has a really bad take and we argue, I still strive to view that person's comments on the next topic with a clean slate.
I think these guidelines are a pretty good way to go about posting here, although some people don't see it that way. I think many people have a hard time letting past beefs go, and too many people take a person coming down hard on their opinion as the same as coming down hard on them. I don't see it that way at all. But, to each his own.
Using you and I as an example, I have no ill will toward you, and see no reason to carry past grudges. You seem to desire to carry it with you. I see no reason to speak about you when you are referenced by another poster, but you seem driven to do just that. We're just different, but I wish you well.

Only three paragraphs.
My fault. I can break it up into 5 if it'll please the peanut gallery. Wouldn't want to disappoint.

It's not my priority either.

Why aren't you complaining to the posters who repeatedly bring me up as a topic of conversation? I'm not bringing me up - you all are.
If you're tired of talking about me, then stop talking about me. You all are doing it by choice. I'm just living in your heads rent-free apparently.

Kendall Kelly and Michael Bowman for me. I was obsessed with tall receivers at the time
Yeah, but Michael Bowman is moving to TE per his brother and he's gonna be a star.

You must be in debt brother, lots of rent payments out there.

This all made me reflect on how we perceive ourselves, our actions and motives and how others perceive and view them. It is amazing how they can be completely different. Adding the filter of a message board is such an interesting additional layer. At least you can edit somethings here unlike real life.

Our WR evaluation/development early in the Saban years was not very good.

I'm not gonna lie, until this past season, my first reaction would have been to say Najee. He really made a big jump this season.
