Yea, Deon is a full blown scumbag. He had a bunch of talent and it’s all down the drain

I dont think it was Deon Johnson. He was a running back that was committed to bama for a short period of time. I'll see if I can find the guys name

I think I'm confusing him with Jeremy Hill. Didnt he have some legal stuff go on during his recruitment too?

No, you could certainly be president. Any US citizen over 35 could do it. The qualifications are, from start to finish, you "won the election."

Additionally, it would be logical for any person to criticize the obvious Dos and Don'ts of a sitting president. Like...don't lie, don't do the opposite of the public will, don't break the law, etc. Do follow the Constitution. But it would be faulty for a person who knows nothing about negotiation to overly criticize how well a president negotiated a trade deal with Zimbabwe.

Additionally, the president is a public servant by definition. He or she literally owes you their best. It's your civic duty to hold them accountable.

Alabama football players are not public servants and owe you less than nothing.

Life and the discussion of it is rarely black and white, and blanket statements rarely count as true critical thinking.

I really want to read the book and/or watch the movie on his story. Followed it for a bit and him getting an NFL tryout with Seattle at Pete Carroll's recommendation and later signed with the Falcons before being cut in the preseason.

I would be interested in the book and movie as well. I didnt know that he got to try out for Seattle. Even though I'm sure he was no where near in playing shape after being incarcerated for so long. In a situation like that, the person that lied should face just as much jail time as the person that was locked up for the lie

Yeah, it was essentially a blue chip high schooler taking time off for 4 or 5 years, and then trying to play in the NFL. Just too much lost time in ways of development as a player.

It doesn't make up for what Banks had to go through, but she definitely felt the wraith of the school district that her family sued. They got back every penny plus 1 million in damages and legal fees.

Banks could have been a free man, yet all she cared about was not giving back the money her family got. Shameful.

Blake Barnett.

That guy on paper was everything Trevor Lawrence ended up being at Clemson.

Replace two years of Hurts with two years of Trevor Lawrence and a lot of things change.

He was one of those late finds that had his recruitment heat up near the end of the recruiting cycle. He was sold as a great athlete with a basketball background, even some fringe Jason Taylor comparisons due to his storkish frame. Definitely was some hype around him, but to be fair, Bama fans were also still in the "OMG, JACK LB" phase lol He had that 1 good year at Bama, then regressed. Declared early, against the advice of Saban and/or Lance Thompson(whom he hates with a passion), and then gets flagged for a heart abnormality and also character flaws at the Combine and goes undrafted.

Yeah I think he was the player an NFL scout commented had “a hyperinflated opinion of his abilities”.

I was hoping to see Hubbard gain some traction in the XFL after getting drafted, but seems he didn't make the team and there's not much to go on after that...

Ben Davis. Maybe expected too much because of memories of his father.

Being ranked the #1 LBer in the nation can throw you off too.

But Wayne was such a great player and fun to watch attack anything that moved. He still holds the record for most tackles at Bama.
