Saban has hired some with much more baggage. I like that he can forgive and understands that not everyone is as perfect as us posters.

I don’t know all the details, but I personally have a low tolerance for behavior behind the wheel of a car that endangers others.

That’s a whole different level of mistake.

Turns out he was at 5 bar, Saban rented out the place for NSD. Was headed to Northport. As soon as he hit the bridge he got pulled over.

He’ll go to court, plead guilty, pay the fine, go to driver school, maybe some counciling, community service maybe, end of story.

I don’t have a clue who his attorney is. Either way it’s done and over. Unless he’s pissed certain ppl off.

Does he live in Northport? I’d think he’d stay around the lake around the yacht club.

I'm unfamiliar with any of our coaches familiy life.

I've never been very vocal on replacing Pete and actually like him as DC and stability at the position.

We have already had players have DUIs and did not dismiss them. By your logic we can't dismiss Golding.

Mac got one 11/3/17
Blueshirt signee Hunter Brannon got one 11/21/18
Quandarrius (Que) Robinson got one 8/29/21
There have been others, but normally there is work to do, classes, ridealongs, community service and other internal discipline... but Coach doesn't like to condemn a young man to failure when a second chance could mean all the difference in the world. Agree
Henry Ruggs never seemed to have an issue while at Bama
and Now Pete G, do not believe he has ever had an issue either.
All of these were 1st mistakes and Henry was the most glaring of all, and will probably end up costing him everything he ever worked for and most if not all of his life (I know the other driver was killed, and she lost everything including her life)

The thing is with Ruggs, it wasn't the first time. His girlfriend had posted videos where he sped ridiculously in residential areas. This is just the first time his behavior had consequences. Unfortunately for him, they were extremely severe consequences. If he had gotten a simple DUI previously like Golding, it may have scared him into cleaning up his act.

You left off Josh Chapman. He got popped in Jan ‘17 and then again in July ‘19 both in Tuscaloosa and both since he joined the S&C staff in ‘16. He is now director of player development.

There is a huge difference between a team member making a mistake like this and a coaching staff member making a mistake like this.

I’m not for canceling PG and taking away his ability to be employed for the rest of his life, but there has to be a different level of accountability for the adults on the coaching staff and the students that are on the team, or at least there should be.
