don't think Golding get fired for this.

If Saban has history of handling internal with DUI and players... he'll do same for his coach... Get Golding help.

He'll get him help and support him. But, there is a different level of expectation for college kids that are maturing and developing through life lessons from the expectation of those in leadership positions charged with a role in that maturation and development process.

Leaders are held to a higher standard. It's not personal, but it is an offense that warrants firing in his case.

He represents the University and the program in kids living rooms on every recruiting trip. Hard to preach responsibility and accountability if your deeds don't match the words.

Not preaching, we all make mistakes. But,we also have to man up and live with the consequences of our actions.

Wish him the best, but the stench of the Ruggs crash is still out there (even if that was removed from the program, it still had an effect on the program). I will not be surprised if Saban decides to part ways with him.

Have we ever had another coaching staff member get a DUI arrest under Saban?

He has to be gone, you can’t let this guy stay.

Mark Few got one this year at Gonzaga as a HC and was not fired . I would be willing to bet a lot of coaches have blemishes on their records we don’t know about

Jim Boeheim was rumored to be under the influence when he was involved in a fatal crash a few years ago. It was never proven beyond just a rumor though.

Not apples to apples for the administration in terms of program damage for the decision. But, it's still a bad look.

If you don’t can Pete, you’ll never be able to dismiss a player in the future for the same offense, not that a player should be dismissed for a DUI if it is simply drinking and driving a little over the limit, but keeping Pete is going to limit Saban in the future.

We have already had players have DUIs and did not dismiss them. By your logic we can't dismiss Golding.

That’s the look of a man that wants to call a delay blitz using the safety, 20 yards away from the LOS.

Zero sympathy for him. If he’s fired, he deserves it. I don’t expect him to be, though.

IMO, college administrators need to drop the hammer on DUI’s. I bet if every coach knew their arse would be gone with cause if they were convicted of a DUI they would all be more careful.

Saban has hired some with much more baggage. I like that he can forgive and understands that not everyone is as perfect as us posters. As punishment, Pete will need to get 2 extra 5 star linemen as well as Manning.
