Yes, but an internal hire probably limits the damage quite a bit unless Harbaugh takes a lot of his staff with him. It wouldn't trigger a domino effect either. Aside from the epic meltdown it would spark on the Tiger Rant, I want to see them hire Kelly just for the devastating ripple effect it would have across 3-4 major programs. If all this shite with the 30 day window causes enough chaos maybe it'll prompt the dipshits running the NCAA to look into how fricking insane it is.
This is what I'm rooting for.

Unfortunately I think they will hire the OC and not Kelly. I think BK he wants big blue more than they want him.
Here’s to hoping for chaos though

I do know somebody in the Michigan AD...

On the other hand, an internal hire might mean a mediocre head coach.
I'm damn glad we went for the very best available coach.

I was not impressed with Sherrone Moore blubbering his way through a postgame interview about how much he loves Harbaugh. I think Michigan would quickly slide back into irrelevance with that hire.

UM will go outside and hire a big name. With OSU backing up the Brinks truck to buy a championship UM can not take a chance.

I’d like to get Michigan’s safety I think he still has a year or two.

The vast majority of what we lost post Saban retiring was players that have been here just 1-2 years
Juniors and Seniors are going to be less likely to jump from Mich, especially if they promote from within. I would not count on many of their starters becoming available as they’re losing their QB, RB, 2 WRs and entire OL on offense
Defense I’m not as sure about but they are deep at DL and CB I think so might see some good players jump there

Sources tell me that the cost of team retention, transfer portal additions and early enrollees for the 2024 Buckeye Football team is around $10 Million.
Ohio State has added 6 players in the portal this offseason and saw a lot of key player pass on the draft to return:

Their money guys are just panicking because their coach is a soft bitch getting in fights with 90yos telling him he's soft.
It is more sensible in this era to spend your way out of deficient coaching problem than firing the coach and having your whole roster turned into the Winter 202x Sears Catalog.

It's a bold strategy and it's very capable of blowing up directly in Ryan Day's face.
The BIG10 will have better teams this year. If they drop a game or two then things could get ugly.
Maybe UGA will finally get Downs in 2025.

Sawyer and Tuimoloau are overrated.

This is basically saying to Day, we gave you the ingredients, no excuses this meal better be the best one ever or you are out of here. The other chef that beat you is leaving town, don't find yourself right behind him.

OSU doesn't have a very impressive schedule considering what it could have been.
They're at Oregon, at Penn State, and home against Michigan. Those are the only teams they play that will be top 25 in the preseason and they're separated by at least 3 weeks each.

Good thing Caleb Downs went there to 'further develop himself'. I'd love to hear his comments about how playing such weak opponents develops someone... I guess plastic sharpens iron, not iron...

So we are at 79 to 81 spots depending on specialist scholly status.
2 portal targets currently:
Jabbar Muhammad (CB)
Khalil Jacobs (LB/S)
2(?) class of 2024
Noah Carter
Ryan Williams
Quinten Reese (committed) - not sure where staff stands, haven't heard anything either way.
