Doing this with his feet propped up on a desk in the UA football building. frick that D-Bag.

If this goes past tonight, things will start getting ugly.

People love to complain here but it really is a rare place.

I left r/cfb (and reddit as a whole) years ago when it drastically changed.

Might as well drop Kiffin from your mind. Too many with connections have already said hes burned too many bridges.

In this landscape, no one is trading an NFL gig for a college job. Especially if your entire coaching career so far has been in the pros.

It's why I expect Kirby and Harbaugh to take NFL jobs in the next year or two.

One thing is for certain, if anyone is looking to make the jump, we're giving them a helluva diversion to do it.

Yeah, early Reddit r/CFB wasn't too bad. Then interest in the sport exploded and the place became overrun with college students who had suddenly become experts on the sport after watching their first game ever as a freshman at some bottom tier B1G school.

Correct. For years people took NFL gigs because it was seen as a step up. Saban shifted that culture by making college football salaries competitive(and in some cases exceeding) NFL jobs

What college football has become has tipped the “money vs bullshite” scale. Yes you’re more able to tip the scales in your favor but you have to put in a lot of work with dumb arse people to do it.

If you’re legitimately a good X’s and O’s guy then there’s almost no way you’d choose a college gig over the pros.

I love Demeco. He’s my top choice and I would do anything to bring him home. But he has an amazing job right now and a top tier qb on a rookie contract. I hope he uses the job to get himself a big fat raise. Roll Tide Demeco.

Love Mal Moore for hiring Saban...but that was probably is one win in a sea of failures as AD. Bama football then was post Derek Dooley UT levels with a mostly untalented roster. Greg Byrne in the sports that really count is already 1 for 1 with a grand slam

DeMeco has a top 10 QB on a rookie contract. I think he would be dumb to come to Bama.

Also, I have no clue how well he would recruit.

Again... There is good and bad.

Bad: He's the GOAT, and expectations are sky high
Good: He's set-up an NFL factory, with the best facilities, and has the most talent on campus.

We will see

There was no portal full of scavengers ready to pluck your team apart until there was nothing but walk-ons and 3 stars left.

I really can't imagine Harbaugh making it through this offseason without bolting to the NFL. There are so many jobs open and he has unfinished business there.

Things might get interesting once the NFL season wraps up. There are rumors that the Falcons have reached out to Kirby to interview. If he and Harbaugh would both leave, there would be a massive power vacuum in college football. Would definitely be interesting times.

As has been mentioned here before, no big time proven coach is going to come here with Saban still lurking in the shadows.

Pepper yourself for Rees or Shumann.

Or a young unproven-type hire.
