No wrong answer. Let's assume and hope Saban wins one more National Championship... which ring would you appreciate the most? His first against Texas that announced Alabama was back? Or the (hopefully) next that moves him past Coach Bryant. Or an entirely different one? Every NCG I find myself telling myself that If we win this one and don't win another for the foreseeable future, I need to appreciate the last decade and be happy. But I always find a justification to genuinely want just one more. This one moves him ahead of Bear. So now I find myself saying... 'Just one more...' so what is your favorite Natty under Saban and why?

2009 --- It was the first one and coming after 2008 it gave us the ultimate payoff. Ingram, Julio, that Defense. Beating Tebow/Meyer and Texas (and Auburn and Tennessee (Rocky-Block Baby!)) all in the same season. Heck in hindsight the only thing missing was a win against UGA, LOL! RTR!!!

--- oh yeah... UNDEFEATED BABY!!! RMFTR!!!

Am I wrong to expect more than one more? I mean, we're in the playoffs and heavily favored. And Tua is back next year.

My most pessimistic outlook would be two more.

I want all of em.

2017 was the most amazing thrilling one.

National Championships are like money. How much is enough?

Just a little bit more.

1. 2015 - Bama's first play-off nattie and their first championship game that was truly epic since the '79 Sugar Bowl against Penn State; the on side kick, Drake's return, and all the explosive plays...

2. 2009 - Saban's first title at Bama and his only undefeated team thus far; Rocky Block, Cody 5, and Bama's first ever win over Texas...

3. 2017 - Another epic title game and perhaps the greatest play in Bama football history...and one of the greatest plays of all time, 2nd & 26; the game at Mississippi State was a good 'un too...

4. 2012 - An epic win in Death Valley and an epic SEC conference championship game and some payback to Notre Dame for '66, '73, '74, and '77...

5. 2011 - Sweet to get a mulligan to payback LSU for the earlier Game of the Century...

2011 was the greatest BAMA team of all time and would beat the current team like they stole something.

Probably 2012 season just because it solidified the “dynasty”. 2009 was Bama’s back, 2011 showed this was here to stay, and then 2012 to me was the just the epitome to me of Dynastic dominance.

Though truth be told all of them, 2015 and 2017 as well, are special in their own way and I could make an argument for all.

2009.

I remember January of 2007 when Saban landed in Tuscaloosa (and the drunk female kissed him)

A buddy of mine and I were talking about how Saban has been a Nomad and how his longevity would be about 5 years, max. He made the statement that I don't care if he is here for only 3 years. If he will right the ship and win us a MNC, I will thank him for his time and be appreciative that it happened. That is the approach I have taken.

You ever had a piece of cake that had so much icing on it that you had to rake some of the icing off to the side? That has been every season after 2009. He just keeps pouring icing (the good stuff) all over the cake.

I don't think so...they didn't play a lot of high-octane offenses and definitely hadn't seen a QB of Tua's caliber...think our current defense would match up pretty well with the '11 offense as well...

As for GOAT Bama teams, I'd go with the '73 team had they not lost that heartbreaker to ND. The '79 team had a great defense and an efficient offense. The '92 team had the best defense I've ever seen but their offense keeps them out of the equation. The '09 team has an argument as well as they beat the #2 and #3 ranked teams in the final poll; Ingram was a beast and McClain was like having a DC on the field. 2012 had maybe the best O-line in history and the team was so well-balanced on both offense and defense...

But, as of now, I'd probably run with 2015 as the best. They played not only the toughest schedule in the nation that year, but of any Bama team ever...one system has the '15 team with the toughest SOS in college football history. They played 8 teams that finished ranked, their only loss was a close one to a top 10 team, and they won one of the more epic championship games ever...

That being said, if our current team wins out, I'd definitely give them the moniker...first team to go 15-0 in the modern era would be hard to top...

To me the 2009 has to be first. Then 2011 due to the opponent, Ls8u. By winning that game it cemented Bama ahead of them and set in motion their tdecline of sorts.

2009
2011
2012 anytime beating Notre Damne especially for a NC has to be high up on any list
2017 Tua
2015

If We win this year then we will repeat . Next years team will be better IMO but it is hard to keep the team hungry.(need to make sure a 2010 doesn't happen).

With recruiting the way it has been we may be favorites for the next 3 years. I want a 4peat and want Saban to reach 10 NCs before he retires.

I think we are talking a minimum eightpeat here.

So hard. So far:

2017
2009
2015
2011
2012

If we run the table this year, this team would push for the top spot.

In ranking of importance

2009
2012
2016
2017
2013

09 was first. 12 set the dynasty and changed the future of LSU program, 2016 showed Saban had adapted to new game after disappointing 13 and 14. 2018 once again was program changing I think for Bama because had Georgia won that I think it may have been the first crack in the dynasty foundation. 2013 we beat up a retard and should have felt bad.

All of them were awesome, but 2015 will always be special. The dynasty was supposed to be over. We lost in rpic fashion in ‘13 to the barn and was embarrassed by Oklahoma. We lost to Ole Miss then out defense was destroyed by Ohio State in ‘14. Then, we play QB carousel early in ‘15 while getting beat by Ole Miss again.

Dead and buried. And went on to win the NC. I love going back to watch those ‘15 games on YouTube.
