re: Not sure what to expect on offense.

Come on Boz, 6 catches for 97 yards and a score in 1 half is darn good. The offense just looks different when 1 & 8 are out there.

7 is stepping up in clutch spots, but I hope we can let Jamo stretch the field more against UGA. I understand todays plan was a little different though at the end of the day.
Yikes... IIRC, he had the same thing occur last year.

Seems like Enos and Gattis just wanted out of here.

I guess that's why several familiar names are popping back up for these staff positions. The process ain't for everybody.

Now there are reports out there about Stoutland coming back to coach the OL. Thoughts??

YES, YES, YES, YES, YES... With the talent already on the roster (and coming in for the '19 Class) bring back a real coach!!!!

Espn reporter Dianna Russini saying sark is coming back to bama. Smh

So... this is how it ends, huh? Pretty much the whole offense staff departs and Sark returns.

:banghead:
Seems legit. They looked like a different team in the Natty vs all other games, including the 1st playoff game. They had an extremely vanilla gameplan against ND.

I see your point but Mayden, Knott, McDonald, Townsend , May never see meaningful minutes and Smith may be Leaving

Mayden played quite a bit down the stretch and we really missed him in the 1st half against UGA. He does seem to be a bit of a knucklehead but to this point, he doesnt deserve to be mentioned with those other guys.

SOMEBODYHIRE TONY ELLIOT AND BRENT VENABLES!!!

Does anybody know anything about the so-called baggage that Venables has carried around since his days as the LB coach at K-State?

Supposedly whatever it is has had something to do with keeping him off the radar for these Head Coaching jobs that never seem to mention him. I don't know anything specific and have only seen un-verified rumors on other sites...

So that begs the question: Is Enos really the QB whisperer everyone makes him out to be?

Exactly... folks acting like he wasn't the QB coach all season. The issue is mindset, IMO. Hopefully Tua can show some progress in the taking what the defense is giving you or throw the ball away department.

I also agree with you guys that have been mentioning the self-scouting. It's like we didn't have anything prepared on either side of the ball. Maybe losing all those analysts over the years is finally came back to bite us. Heck, Saban said himself that Clemson was doing stuff that other teams had success with (but we didn't prepare for).

Loss for words... embarrassing loss. Hopefully the boys come back mad like UGA and Clemson did next season.
Yeah... not our night. dat boi Ross is quite Nasty... sheesh!!!!
Supposedly Clemson's weakness was the secondary. Clearly we are gashing them with the run because they are dropping 7, but when the field shortens, we cant block them...
Y'all gotta understand that the two picks Tua threw were NOT to the primary defender. 14 was backing up during that last big completion across the middle. Our defense aint working together and that's what the issue is there.

On offense... Our QB needs to get his crap together!!!

A suspended player should not even be allowed on the sideline from an organizational standpoint. In the pros, those guys arent even allowed in the building/stadium/arena during a game.
2009 --- It was the first one and coming after 2008 it gave us the ultimate payoff. Ingram, Julio, that Defense. Beating Tebow/Meyer and Texas (and Auburn and Tennessee (Rocky-Block Baby!)) all in the same season. Heck in hindsight the only thing missing was a win against UGA, LOL! RTR!!!

--- oh yeah... UNDEFEATED BABY!!! RMFTR!!!
Situations are waaay diff bruh. I agree with you like 99% of the time but I just think you may be giving our fans a little too much credit on this one.

A more appropriate comparison would be be Tua to Fields & maybe Jalen to Barnett. Both our guys have proven to be extremely classy and both weathered pretty extreme circumstances in their short times on campus. And most importantly, both guys are certified Bama legends.

Just remember, Jalen was trashed waaay too much by some of our fans from day 1 and I know we would have seen some embarrassing stuff if he would have handled things like Fields or Barnett for that matter. Tua had to sit through some tough situations last season but he was ready when his number was called when the stakes were the highest (4th and 11 vs 3rd and 26? j/k)

Anyway, let the UGA fans be who they are and just be glad we have our guys...

No similarities at all. Fromm was the established starter when Fields committed. He played his role as the backup throughout the season, but clearly was promised more.

Barnett got beat out by the true freshman and took his ball and went home midseason. Definitely apples and oranges.

I aint even trying to get into the fan response though. That's also apples and oranges but no need to even broach those subjects...
